Flat drain

The innovation involves a flat roof drain with electric heating that prevents freezing in winter. The heating is usually designed as a heating ring that is inserted into the attachment ring that holds the ball grate. The power supply is laid outwards and under the gravel filling to an armored pipe that pierces the sealing membrane at one point. The cables laid in this way are very difficult to access when damage has to be repaired. The innovation is intended to solve the problem of simplifying the power supply to the drain heaters and, in particular, making them easier to repair. This problem is solved by the following design features:

- The press seal flange of the drain housing and/or the housing upper part and/or the top piece receives a hole.

Top view shown in (fig. 2). The drain housing 1, which is provided with an upper housing flange 2, has outlet nozzles 3 of various nominal widths at the bottom. The drain housing 1 is embedded in a Foaglas fora body 4 to avoid cold bridges. The upper housing edge 5, which has seepage water slots 6, serves as a stop and guide for the loose flange 7. The edge has an attachment ring 8 onto which a (preferably hemispherical) inlet grate is placed.

The housing flange 2 has a raised collar 10 at a point between two stud bolts 9.

Heating ring 14 is designed. The connection is housed in a terminal box 15 attached to the outside of the attachment ring §. The power supply can be easily repaired. All that is required is to clear away the gravel in the area around the drain.

For two-part flat roof drains, the installation is carried out accordingly. Here, the armored pipe is tightly guided through the housing flange.
