Bei der Herstellung von Lenkradern deren Lenkradkranz mit ein©® Bezug aus- keder oder lederähalichem Material versehen ist wird zumachst das Lenkrad, als solches fertiggestellt und anschließend der Usnkradkryiz mit dem Bezug umgeben, wobei der Bezug aus einen? einteiligen Materialzuschnitt besteht, der um den Lenkradkranz hervup&elegt und durch Verbinden seiner beiden Längsränder am Lenkradkranz befestigt wird. In der herkömmlichen Weise werden dabei die beiden Längsränder des den Bezug bildenden Materialzuschnittes entlang des Innenumfangee des Lenkradkranzee durch Vernähen oder eine vergleichbare Verbindung miteinander verbunden, \m zu vermeiden, daß sich die Verbindung im Bereich der Grifflachen des Lenkrades unangenehm bemerkbar macht. Unabhängig von der jeweils gewählten Art der Verbindung der beiden Längeränder des den Bezug bildenden Materlalzuechnittee ergibt sich hierbei Jedoch die Schwierigkeit, daß die Lage der Verbindung am Innenumfang des Lenkradkranzes, also an einer verhältnismäßig schwer zugänglichen Stelle, die Herstellung der Verbindung erschwert und damit das Lenkrad insgesamt verteuert.When manufacturing steering wheels whose rim is covered with piping or leather-like material, the steering wheel itself is first completed and then the steering wheel rim is covered with the cover, whereby the cover consists of a one-piece cut of material which is placed around the steering wheel rim and fastened to the steering wheel rim by connecting its two longitudinal edges.
