The present invention relates to a closure for pressure vessels, in particular for steam pressure cookers.

With conventional pressure cookers and their use , the cooking time is such that only a small percentage of dishes require cooking times long enough to make their use worthwhile. However, the lids of these delicious pressure cookers with bayonet closures are not suitable for conventional cooking. To avoid this disadvantage, the present invention seeks to propose a lid for pressure vessels, particularly for steam pressure cookers, which is designed in accordance with one or more of the protection claims listed below. The closure according to the invention is explained in more detail below with ^the aid of drawings.
