Windscreen and blackboard cleaning devices, also called window wipers, blackboard cleaners, etc., have been around for a long time and are generally known as follows: A rubber wiper part is attached to a metal or plastic mounting rail with a handle. The downward movement of the wiper part (2) pushes the substance (1) to be wiped down so that it can drip onto the floor. If the wiper part, which is also wet, is not freed of the accumulated liquid after each downward movement, it drips onto clothing and the floor, which is very unpleasant, for example, when cleaning blackboards in school rooms because of the chalky water.

My task was to prevent the liquid from running down panes and panels, right down to the last centimeter, even on window panes with wooden projections. An absorbent absorbing part, e.g. made of viscose (3), is attached between the liquid or substance to be absorbed (1) and the wiper blade (2). This layer (3) can either be attached to a larger absorbing body made of viscose or (4) or can itself be made from such an absorbing body [A] . Due to the absorbency of (3), the substance to be absorbed (1) passes into (3) and is then passed on into the absorbing body (4). If (4) is to be used to initially remove dirt from a surface, (4) can absorb washing solution and release it onto the surface to be cleaned via the projecting part (5). In order to transport substance out of (4), pressure is exerted with the hands or by means of a lifting device (6) on (7) and (Θ), which are attached as reinforcement rails along (4).
