Die neue Vorrichtung soll für solche Dampfkessel dienen, deren Speisung durch Einspritzen des Wassers in der Weise erfolgt, dafs eine sofortige Verdampfung des letzteren eintritt, ein Wasservorrath somit in solchen Kesseln nicht vorhanden ist. Die Vorrichtung bezweckt, sowohl die Wasserzufuhr, als auch die Spannung des erzeugten Dampfes durch diesen selbst zu regeln. Dies geschieht in der Weise, dafs der Dampf des Kessels auf die eine Seite eines Kolbens wirkt, dessen andere Seite von einer Feder beeinflufst wird, und dessen Kolbenstange je nach der Stärke des erzeugten Dampfes den Hub der Speisepumpe verringert oder vergröfsert.
