Description

Process for the production of a blank to be held against each other Metal parts to be insulated Glass and enamel flow to be introduced The invention relates to refers to a method for producing a between blank to be held against each other Metal parts to be insulated, in particular those of glow plugs, to be introduced Glass flow.

For assembling metal parts that are insulated from each other glass flows placed between the individual parts are often used. In addition to their main task of insulating, such glass flows often also serve to establish a mechanical connection between the parts, e.g. B. at Vacuum tubes, spark plugs, etc. This working process is usually carried out in the Way that the glass offset as a dry powder or with some kind of binding agent Put pastry between the metal parts and put the whole thing in appropriate ovens is heated until the desired glass flow is achieved. The expenditures increased Temperatures now cause most common metals to show signs of corrosion emerge, such as B. scaling or at least unwanted tarnishing. To yourself To protect against this, of course, is the use of protective gas ovens, i.e. such with oxygen-free atmosphere, very close. But if you work in such ovens, so it turns out the even more serious disadvantage that the under Glass flows obtained under these conditions compared to those produced in the previous manner have lost a lot of insulation and adhesive strength.

To remedy these shortcomings, the invention provides that a substantially enamel offset free of easily reducible metal oxides is used.

-The invention is based on the following knowledge: When working in protective gas furnaces are all contained in the glass offset; easily reducible Metal oxides converted into the corresponding metals. Their presence in the glass river and cause the observed outflow of metals from the joints then the aforementioned reduction in the insulation capacity or reduction in the adhesive strength of the glass flow. The continued experiments have shown that for the desired purpose (isolating and, if necessary, connecting to kept blank Metal parts by means of a glass flow) the known, for example for coating Enamel offsets used by iron cookware are well suited if under evaluation of the knowledge gained, the proportions usually contained in these offsets of heavy metal oxides replaced by alkaline earth oxides: are. One in the previously discussed The following is a meaningful, very suitable offset: 38 parts by weight of borax, x6; 5 parts by weight of feldspar, 26 parts by weight of quartz, 5 parts by weight of fluobspite, = o Parts by weight of soda, 2.5 parts by weight of potassium nitrate, 2 parts by weight of whiting chalk. -
