Square transport container

The present innovation relates to a square transport container, consisting of a pallet forming the base and a demountable goods security attachment, which is essentially made up of four attachment frames, each at right angles to one another, forming the long and narrow side walls, and in which the vertical beams arranged in the corner areas of two attachment frames can be coupled together.

Transport containers of the aforementioned type are well known in the industry. The particular advantages are the use of standardized Euro pallets and the ability to dismantle the goods security attachment for space-saving storage of unused transport containers. This saves space when storing and transporting goods without them. Such transport containers are available in a wide variety of designs. For example, grids, filling panels, etc. can be fitted into the frame fields of the attachment frames.

It is also conceivable that at least one mounting frame has no filling, so that the transport container can be opened on one side. A recess in a side wall is also conceivable. In addition, at least one mounting frame forming a long or narrow side wall can be equipped with a pivoting flap. Normally, several transport containers are placed on top of each other to store goods. For this purpose, catch plates are attached to the goods security attachment in the corner area. Regardless ^{of the} design, each transport container is open at the top.

The disadvantage of all designs is that the connection of two vertical beams of two attachment frames that are at right angles to each other is made by means of overtubes. In order to maintain the square shape, closures are provided at the diagonally opposite corners, which are formed, for example, from a rotating bolt that can be inserted into a bolt pocket. The overtubes must be attached to the respective beams before the attachment frames are welded together, which means that the necessary surface treatment between the beam and the overtube is not possible. This is particularly true when the attachment frames are galvanized or powder-coated. The attachment frames are usually manufactured mechanically using welding robots, degreasing and coating systems. Since at least two attachment frames are coupled together by the overtubes, they are particularly difficult to handle.

Since the entire outer surface can be evenly protected against corrosion, rust spots can be avoided. The lateral overhang compared to the pallet is reduced to a minimum, so that the space when transporting several containers is smaller than with known designs. This is particularly true if the catch plates attached to the upper area of each corner have a one-sided anti-slip device. The article security attachment is assembled in a particularly simple manner by pushing the mounting frames equipped with the locking bolts from the inside between the previously set up mounting frames. As soon as the operating position is reached, the locking bolt engages under the associated receiving pocket, making it impossible to pull it up. The stop plates prevent the mounting frames with the locking bolts from being pushed into the interior of the transport container.

In a further development of the innovation, it is provided that the receiving pockets are arranged on the vertical beams of the mounting frames forming the long side walls and are made of U-profile pieces that are open to the interior of the transport container and that each locking bolt is attached to a compression spring and is held in the locking position by means of this. first the heavier mounting frames that form the long side walls can be attached to the pallet and then the mounting frames that form the narrow side walls can be brought into the operating position from the inside. This is achieved by the receiving pockets that are open to the interior of the container. In addition, when loaded from the inside, the beams are supported on the parts of the receiving pockets that are opposite the opening. Manufacturing the receiving pockets from U-profile pieces is advantageous because commercially available profiles can be used. Since the locking bolt is attached to a compression spring, it is automatically pressed into its locking position as soon as the corresponding position of the mounting frame is reached. For disassembly, it can be pushed back against the force of the spring so that the mounting frame can be lifted.

Normally, the mounting frames are made of tubes with a circular cross-section. It is then advisable for the compression spring to be a V-shaped tongue spring fixed in the interior of the tube, and for the tube to have a hole in which the locking bolt is guided. Apart from the fact that the locking bolt protrudes from the outer surface of the tube in its locking position, other protruding parts are avoided. Fig. 4 shows the upper right corner of the transport container marked in Fig. 1, part IV.* The other corners are designed accordingly. It is clearly visible that the receiving pockets 18 welded to the vertical beam 13c of the support frame II are made of U-profile pieces. The inner contour is selected so that the vertical beam 13c of the support frame 13 is encompassed. It can also be seen that the support frames 11 to 14 are made of tubes with the same inner and outer diameters. The locking bolt 19 is attached to a compression spring ^123. Figs. 5 and 6 show that the compression spring 23 is a V-shaped bent tongue spring. The vertical beam 13c has a transverse bore into which the locking bolt 19 engages. This bore 24 is on the outside. The compression spring 23 can be attached to the inside of the vertical beam 13c in a manner not explained in detail. Fig. 5 shows the position of the locking bolt 19 during assembly of the weapon safety attachment. It is pressed back into the interior of the barrel by the central web of the U-shaped receiving pocket 18, counter to the effect of the compression spring 23. As soon as the attachment frame 13 has reached its operating position, the locking bolt 19 is pushed back into the barrel by the compression spring.

To assemble the goods security attachment, first the attachment frames 11, 12 forming the long sides of the transport container are placed correctly on the pallet 10. Then the attachment frames 13, 14 forming the narrow side walls are placed on the pallet 10. To do this, they are first raised so that the stop plates 20, 22 are above the attachment frames 11, 12 or the pallet cover board 10a. The height of the upper receiving pockets 18 is designed so that the locking bolt 19 is still within the receiving pocket. Since the attachment frames 13, 14 can be placed in a slightly inclined position, the locking bolt is pressed into the position shown in Fig. 5 when transferred to a vertical position. The attachment frames 13, 14 can then be lowered downwards into the position shown in Fig. 3. The position of the locking bolt 19 or the hole 24 in relation to the associated receiving pocket 18 is selected so that in the operating position the mounting frame 11, 12 lies tightly against the underside of the respective receiving pocket 18. The mounting frames 13, 14 cannot then be placed in an inclined position due to the stop plates 20, 22. Disassembly is carried out in the reverse order, but first the locking bolts 19 must be pressed into the non-operating position. The height of the receiving pockets 18 is greater than the height of the stop plates 20, 22, which ensures that the locking bolts 19 are automatically pressed into the interior of the pipe for assembly.
