It is known to provide a so-called cross support in lathes, in particular in grinding wheel lathes, in which an upper support transversely to this via the lower support. is movable. Such a cross support can be rotatably arranged on its base in order to conical - workpieces, e.g. B. cup-shaped conical disks to be able to edit. The lower support, with the help of which the conical circumference of the workpiece is to be machined, is then set according to the respective angle by turning the entire crown support. If the plan side is then to be processed with the help of the upper support, the entire cross support must be turned back into its normal position, which is relatively laborious. especially when many workpieces have to be machined one after the other.
According to the invention, the upper support can be rotated again on the lower support
arranged. The disadvantage mentioned does not occur here because it is in spite of the angular position
of the lower support is possible, the upper support again due to its rotatability
to turn back into the normal position to the workpiece, so that the flat sides of the workpiece
After machining the conical circumference, be turned off by the top support
can without turning back the cross support each time.
Abb,--i
The invention is illustrated in the drawing. g Fig. - i shows a longitudinal section through the upper support, Fig. 2 shows a corresponding longitudinal section through the lower section, Fig. 3 shows a section through a conical cup wheel, Fig. 4 to 7 illustrate the previous mode of operation when machining conical cup wheels and the method of operation according to the invention.
i erfolgt in bekannter Weise durch Schrauben 6. From Fig. I it can be seen that the slide guide i of the upper support 2 is rotatably arranged on the lower support. For this purpose, the lower support 3 has an annular elevation 4 on which the slide guide i; is placed. This overlaps the elevation 4 with a conical overlap yes. A projection 5 of the slide guide i, which protrudes into a corresponding hole in the elevation 4, is used for centering. The carriage guide i, which can be rotated in this way, is fixed in a known manner by means of screws 6.
Der Untersupport 3 ruht seinerseits auf einer Führung
7, die auf einem Drehring 8 drehbar angeordnet ist.The lower support 3 for its part rests on a guide 7 which is rotatably arranged on a rotary ring 8.
(vgl. Abb. 4).
5 erforderlich. If it is a question of workpieces according to Fig. 3, which represents a cup-like conical disk, so far the entire cross support by turning on the rotating ring 8 according to the angle α of the AM. 3 set at an angle (see Fig. 4). So the lower and upper support are pivoted together, so that although the conical circumference 9 of the cup wheel can be machined by means of the lower support 3 , it was not possible to machine the flat side of the cup wheel with this setting of the cross support, because the upper support 2- is pivoted with. To dress this surface io, the turntable 8 must be pivoted in the direction of the arrow, a so that the Obersupport.2 is perpendicular to the axis of the cup wheel (see Fig. 5). Since the machining of the surfaces 9, io must now take place in one clamping, the conversion of the cross support from the position according to Fig. 4 to the position according to Fig. 5 is therefore necessary for each cup wheel.
Abb. 7). In the case of the cross support according to the invention, it is not necessary to change the cross support. Here the disk 8 is set so that the lower slide 3 is parallel to the lateral surface 9 (see Fig. 6). The upper slide: 2 is also swiveled onto the lower slide 3 so far that it is perpendicular to the center axis of the cup wheel. In this position, the cross support for machining is set. The machining of the outer surface is now done by operating the crank of the lower slide 3, and then with the unchanged position of the cross support by operating the crank of the upper slide 2, the flat side of the cup wheel is machined (see Fig. 7).
The tool holder ii is on the upper support in the usual way
provided, as well as the other details, namely the drive of the supports
etc., is not the subject of the invention and is therefore not described in more detail.
