Darüber hinaus bietet Dimethylsulfoxyd. im Vergleich mit Azeton, den Vorteil, daß es wegen seines verhältnismäßig hohen Siedepunktes weniger flüchtig ist, so daß also Verluste durch Verdampfen der Flüssigkeit geringer sind und die technische Handhabung vereinfacht wird.
