Description
Process for uniform dyeing of polyamides It is known that polyamides can be dyed with a large number of acid dyes and acid-pulling Nachchromierurigsfarbstoffen, which are produced for threading wool, if one with the most commonly used in wool dyeing additives of sulfuric acid , Formic acid or acetic acid and Glauber's salt works. In this procedure, we obtain at Verivendun- of each one-cm suitable acid or .. Nacliclirorni, to chan, -sfarbstoff at medium, undsatten shades reasonably uniform colors. However, when dyeing according to the pattern, the dyer generally needs two or three dyes which can be mixed with one another in any ratio without producing uneven colorations. In the case of such mixed dyeings, dyeing irregularities have hitherto occurred because the dye, which was absorbed unevenly in the presence of free acid, could not be distributed uniformly.
It has now been found that uniform colorations can be obtained on polyamides in all color strengths with the help of acid dyes or leveling dyes and Acid-drawing chromium-plating dyes can be produced if one -the dye baths Adds ammonium salts. The ammonium salts delay the absorption of the color acids on the polyamides. Ammonium formate holds back the most, ammonium sulfate Ammonium acetate have less of an effect. In the case of acidic resp. Chromium plating dyes are the addition of small amounts of ammonia to the dye bath advantageous.
For the claimed process, those wool or chromium plating dyes are to be regarded as suitable, which draw slower with ammonium formate than in the presence of free acids at 69 ' , when the temperature rises up to 95', when the temperature rises up to 95 ', deeper dyes from ammonium formate-containing fields produce "if necessary with a supplement of For example, free formic acid, and in leveling attempts, encourage the migration of wool dyes from dyed to undyed polyamide more than when working with free acid from the start .
The process can also be used to level the dyeing on polyamide textiles. In the presence of the ammonium salts of the lower fatty acids or ammonium sulphate, the dyes suitable for the present process are only partially absorbed on polyamides if the temperature is controlled appropriately, while under otherwise the same conditions they are added to the dyebath with the usual addition of sulfuric acid, formic acid or acetic acid be absorbed significantly more or almost completely by the polyamides -. A dye that contains dyestuff that can still be puffed up can, however, compensate for irregularities in the color of the treated textile material much more easily than a dyebath that is heavily or completely exhausted Peel off part of the polyamide silk and dye the undyed polyamide strand in about the same depth. The migration of the dyes from one fiber to the other can be supported by adding ammonia in addition to ammonium formate in the case of weakly acidic saturation dyes. According to the invention, it is possible to darken or to compensate for unevenly precipitated acidic colorations on polyamide, while in the presence of free acid and neutral salts apart from ammonium salts, the balance between the strands to be matched in color is strongly inhibited.
To carry out the invention, one expediently goes into the approximately 50 'hot or cold bath which contains the ammonium salts, heats up faster or more slowly to approximately 95' and, if necessary, exhausts the dyebath by adding z. B. formic acid.
If you want to convince yourself of the leveling effect of the suitable wool dyes, for example, you bring a polyamide strand that is too deeply colored with an undyed polyamide strand together in a dye-free bath containing an ammonium salt, go lukewarm into the bath and increase the temperature gradually go up to 95 '. At this temperature one treats again for some time until the colorations of the two strands have largely equalized. The dye bath is colored more or less vividly during this time.
I 188), 7 g Alizarinrubinol R (S chul tz: Farbstofftabellen, Nr. i2io), 6gAmido-. gelb E (S c h u 1 t z : Farbstofftabellen Nr. 16) unter Zu,satz von 2oo g Ammoniumf or#miat. It was surprising that the difficulties which arise in particular with mixed dyeings of acid dyes made from polyamide fibers. too fast and uneven absorption result, can be eliminated by simply replacing the acids usually present in the dyebath with ammonium salts. According to the method of the invention, it is possible to produce the most difficult fashion tones on polyamides with the best possible uniformity. Example I ro kg strand silk from e-Caprolactampolymerisat be dampened in a suitable way, washed, and come in a dyebath containing in g 5oo 1 Water 300 Alizaringeranol B (S c h'u 1 tz: Dye Tables, Vol 1, 7th ed.. , No. 12 11) and 500 g of ammonium formate. One goes with the polyamide silk at 30 to 40 ', heated in about 1/2 hour to go up to 95' and dyed -i hour at go up to 95 '. The material to be dyed is evenly colored red-violet, the dyebath is practically drawn out. At, game: 2 Polyamide silk prepared as in example i is dyed in 7ü # c) 1 water with a mixture of 10 g alizarin sapphirol SE (S chu 1 tz : Dyestuff Tables, No. I 1 88), 7 g alizarin rubinol R (S chul tz: Dye tables, No. i2io), 6gAmido-. yellow E (S chu 1 tz : Dye Tables No. 1 6) with the addition of 2oo g ammonium form or # mate. You enter at 500 , drive up to 95 ' in about ten minutes, after ten minutes with the steam turned off, 0.1 percent of formic acid (85 percent) is added in good dilution and stains in 20 to 30 minutes at gho bis 95 ' fertile. A uniform pewter gray is obtained when the bath is completely exhausted.
I, 7. Example 3 iokg polyamide silk made from the polyamide des, - caprolactam as a strand are steamed and washed. One stains with 5099 Metachromolivbroun G (S chu 1 tz : Dye tables, Vol. I, 7th edition, No. 14: 2), 500 g ammonia uniform, 2oo ccm ammonia (25 '/ 0, ig), comes in at 310' , heated in 50 to 60 minutes to go to 95 ' and allowed to absorb the remaining dye for 1/2 hour. Then the bath is quenched by the inflow of cold water for about a second, 250 g of dissolved potassium bichromate are added and 20.0 cc of 66 ' B # sulfuric acid is added in good dilution, heated up to 95' again and chromed for 4 to 1 hour. The silk is dyed gleichinäßi g olive-brown and the color has the high fastnesses nachchromierter dyeings.
