The invention relates to a method for continuous production
of galvanic elements; especially of the Leclänche type. It is about
to such galvanic. Elements in which the flat negative electrode,
z. B. made of zinc sheet, the electrolyte carrier; e.g. from paper, is placed before.
the zinc sheet is rolled up into a cup-shaped structure. For the ongoing
Manufacture of such elements are based on the method according to the invention
this achieves special technical advantages, _that a tape, z.
B. made of paper, -which serves as Elektrölytträger, by one with the electrolyte
filled container pulled through and, after it has been put in a device - with flour,
-Starch or the like is powdered onto a metal band rolling off a second reel,
e.g. made of zinc, which serves as a negative electrode, by means of. a pair of rollers
is launched. According to the invention, the strips lying on top of one another are then
after being passed through an oven and stuck between a second pair of rollers
are pressed together, cut into individual pieces and rolled up into a cup
or folded. The positive electrode is placed in the cup, preferably
pressed in.
The individual process stages are shown schematically in the drawing.
Wie ersichtlich, wird von einer Haspel Iai ein Band b, z. B. aus Papier;
eingepreßt ist.As can be seen, a tape b, z. B. made of paper;
which is used, pulled through a container filled with the electrolyte
and after it has been powdered on both sides with flour, starch or the like in a device v
is, on a.of a second reel h2. unwinding metal band W; i. B. made of zinc,
-Applied by means of a pair of rollers w1, the = one on top of the other -bands are
passed through an oven o and then pressed firmly against one another between the pair of rollers w2.
Then the pressed tapes are cut into individual pieces
and, rolled up into cups, placed in vvelche - the positive electrode, preferably
is pressed in.
On .Grund the method according to the invention is not only economical
"Relationship, but above all a special advantage from a technical point of view
achieved that: a particularly intimate connection between the zinc strip and the as
Electrolyte carrier paper is produced by making a so-called composite sheet
generated. Due to the intimate union of the two bands, one of them is still
A particularly good contact between the electrolyte carrier was never achieved
and obtained the zinc sheet, so that the manufactured with the method according to the invention
Elements have a capacity about 30% higher than those elements at
where the paper serving as an electrolyte carrier is simply placed on the zinc sheet
is. A particular advantage is with regard to the method according to the invention
the union of the paper with the zinc sheet is also achieved by the fact that the two
Tapes, after the paper has been soaked with the electrolyte liquid and: on both sides
is dusted with starch or the like, passed through an oven together,
before they get to the pressure rollers w2. In the oven takes place namely with evaporation
A swelling of the powdered starch takes place from excess moisture, whereby
the electrolyte starch layer is put in the state that is necessary for a
-intensive union of the paper with the zinc sheet is particularly favorable.
