In
dargestellt.Bung ring fastening and process for their production It is known
Bung rings on the container wall instead of a welded connection by a
To fasten pressing process. The present invention relates to a new bung ring fastener
and a process for their production, in which the ring and the vessel wall interlock
Have elevations or depressions as a rotation lock, and has opposite
the previous proposals the advantage of simple, economical production.
The invention consists essentially in that one of its end face on the bung ring
outgoing, limited by the lateral surfaces to widening cone
Annular groove is provided, in which the side wall of the formed into a channel,
engages the bung ring from above and laterally encompassing the edge of the bung opening.
The method of making the new bung assembly is that
at the edge of the bung opening the annular groove facing the inside of the container is formed
whose outer boundary surface has polygonal (non-circular) shape, while the
the side wall forming the inner boundary surface has a circular shape, on the side wall of the
outside the same polygonal (non-circular) shape, bung ring with the front side after
is placed at the bottom of the ring groove increasing in diameter and pressed into it,
wherein the side wall of the bung opening widens within the annular groove and the
Bung ring secured against rotation due to the polygonal (non-circular) shape, also on an axial one
Prevents displacement. The invention also extends to an embodiment
the process for the simple and inexpensive manufacture of the bung rings.
In
the drawing is the subject matter of the invention in an exemplary embodiment
shown.

3 verformt, deren äußere Begrenzungsfläche 4 annähernd Sechseckform mit sanft gerundeten;
Bordwand i ausgebildet ist.
erzielt.Fig. T and 2 show the formation of the bung opening of the container,
- 'Fig. 3 to 6 the production of the bung ring and Fig. 7 the' bung ring fastening
on average. '' From the container wall i, in which the bung ring is to be attached,
If necessary, the 'bung opening' is created by means of a combined cutting and pressing process
2 cut out and its edge to an annular groove facing the inside of the container
3 deformed, the outer boundary surface 4 of which is approximately hexagonal with gently rounded;
Has mutually merging side surfaces, while their the inner boundary surface
forming side wall has 5 circular shape. The bung ring is made without any loss of material

Kind of from their mouth to down in diameter. The cross section of the ring groove
12 is dimensioned at the end face r i so that the outermost edge of the side wall 5
the bung opening 2 can enter the annular groove 12. The union of the container wall

The cheap way to produce bung ring fastening is not
limited to the embodiment described. So instead of the Viejeckförm
the boundary surface of the annular groove 3 also 'provided a different round shape
be sure that the bung ring is given a similar shape,
so that the rotation lock is given after the union.
