The innovation relates to a cooling device, in particular a household refrigerator or freezer, with a heat-insulated housing that can be closed by a door and which is provided below the door opening with a cross member designed as a molded part that is assigned to the front side of the housing base and is equipped with molded-on receptacles for fastening fittings and attachments, such as the lower door bearing support, the front adjustable feet, a ventilation panel and the like.

The innovation is based on the task of improving cooling devices of the type described in more detail above by specially designing the cross member assigned to the housing base and making the assembly of the add-on parts easier.

This*? task is solved according to the present innovation in that the cross member is designed as a plastic molded part, which is provided with reinforcement elements inserted in a form-fitting manner on the back of the cross member, at least in the area of the receptacles located at its ends for the precise attachment of the lower door bearing support and the adjusting foot assigned to it.

With the help of the new reinforced mounts at the ends of the traverse, it is possible to attach the attachments to the traverse easily, precisely and safely.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the subject of the innovation, it is provided that the reinforcing element is designed as a sheet metal angle, the vertical leg of which serves to fasten the lower door bearing angle, while its horizontal leg rests against the support of the adjustable foot from above.

A household refrigerator 10 shown in Fig. 1 only as part of its lower section has a heat-insulated housing 12 which can be closed by a door 11 and which is provided with a cross member 13 designed as a plastic molded part below its door opening. This is equipped with receptacles described in detail below for attaching fittings and attachments, such as the lower door bearing support 14, the front adjustable feet 15, a ventilation panel 16 and the like.

As a holder for the front adjustable feet 15, the cross member 13 is provided with projections 17 arranged near its ends with a bore. These serve to insert threaded bushings 18 into which the adjustable feet 15, in this case designed as hexagon or octagonal screws, can be screwed with their upwardly projecting threaded shaft. The threaded bushing 18 is provided with a collar 19 on its downwardly facing open edge, which rests against the edge of the projection 17 from below. The collar 19 is equipped with a stop surface on the side, which, together with a cam 20 projecting downwards from the edge of the projection 17, forms an anti-twisting device for the threaded bushing 18 of the adjustable foot 15.

Above the adjustable foot 15, on the cross member 13, there is a vertical stop surface 21 pointing forwards, which is partially covered by the inwardly folded edge of the cover plate forming the outer cladding of the housing 12. This stop surface 21 serves to fasten the downwardly projecting leg of the door bearing support 14.

In the area of the receptacles formed in this way for the precise attachment of the lower door bearing support 14 and the adjusting foot 15 associated with it, the cross member 13 is backed by a reinforcing element in the form of a sheet metal angle 22 inserted in a form-fitting manner on its rear side. Door bearing support 14 is screwed in. In the example shown, three sheet metal holes 23 are arranged in the corner points of an equilateral triangle standing on its tip. In this way, the use of one and the same sheet metal angle 22 for both sides of the housing 12 and thus the ability to turn the lower door bearing support 14 from right to left hinge of the door is ensured. The vertical leg of the sheet metal angle 22 is also provided with holes at the same height, in which pins 25 formed on the back of the cross member 13 engage and thus fix the sheet metal angle 22 serving as a reinforcing element precisely in its installation position. The horizontal leg of the sheet metal angle 22, on the other hand, rests from above against the front side of the holder of the adjustable foot 15 and is thus able to support and reinforce this holder.

As further receptacles, there are insertion pockets 26 in the cross member 13. These are open at the front and are used to insert spring-loaded tabs formed on the back of the ventilation grille 16, which can be locked in the inserted position. Finally, in the middle area of the cross member 13 there is another receptacle for the positive attachment of a separating strip 27 that is perpendicular to it and projects downwards. This receptacle is designed as a pin that is arranged between cheeks 28 that project downwards and is thickened at its lower end, onto which the separating strip 27 can be plugged with its U-shaped forked upper edge. Together with a partition 30 located in the middle of the ventilation grille 16, the separating strip 27 serves to cleanly separate the air flow guided under the base of the housing 12 into an intake or exhaust duct assigned to the two sides of the housing when the heat-emitting components of the refrigeration unit of the household refrigerator 10 are ventilated, and to prevent a short circuit.

Cooling device according to claim 1, characterized in that the reinforcing element is designed as a sheet metal angle (22), the vertical leg of which serves to fasten the lower door bearing support (14), while its horizontal leg rests from above against the receptacle (17) of the adjustable foot (15). 3. Cooling device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the reinforcing element (22) is provided with bores into which pins (25) formed on the rear side of the cross member (13) engage in order to fix the reinforcing element (22) in its installation position with precision. 4. Cooling device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cross member (13) is provided in its central region with a receptacle (28, 29) for the positive attachment of a separating strip (27) which is perpendicular to it and rails downwards.
