haben letztere den Nachteil der möglichen Fehlanzeige bei Ausfall von Schaltelementen;
Circuit arrangement for track vacancy detection in railway safety systems

the latter have the disadvantage of the possible false indication in the event of failure of switching elements;
in the case of tubes, that of the limited service life. These disadvantages of the known devices

gespeist.
The mode of operation of the circuit will be shown using an example shown in FIG. A controlling circuit (above) is fed at its terminals from a comparison alternating current source E z. - It consists of the rectifier G i, the coil Sr, which has the core K i in common with the coil S2, and: the coil S3, which has the core K2 in common with the sink S4. A: controlled circuit (below) is fed at its terminals in any way from the track with the voltage E: 2. It consists of the rectifier G: 2, -the coils. S: 2 and S 4 and the relay R i, which causes the occupancy and vacancy of the track.
Die Spannung E i ruft durch die Spulen S i und S 3 in den Kernen K
i und K:2 einen magnetischen Fluß in der durch die Pfeile unter S i und. S,3 angegebenen
Richtung hervor.
Stromkreis 'an.
The voltage E i calls through the coils S i and S 3 in the cores K i and K: 2 a magnetic flux in the direction indicated by the arrows under S i and. S, 3 indicated direction. The current is so great that the iron of both cores is magnetically saturated and thus: its effective permeability is very small. The rectifier G i blocks the current in one half-wave, .so .that the saturation of the cores only takes place in one half-wave. The change in the magnetic flux induces voltages in the coils S2 and S 4, but these cancel each other out, since the coils S i and S: 2 are connected in opposite directions and the coils SJ and S4: are connected in the same direction. Likewise, the voltages induced by currents through S: 2 and S4 in S i and S 3 cancel each other out. An alternating voltage led to E2 now finds a small resistance in the coilsS2 and S4 in the half-wave in which current flows through the controlling circuit due to the premagnetization, while this is high in the currentless half-wave of the control circuit. If the voltages E i and E2 are equal in frequencies, then flows in the controlled circuit as a result of the rectifier G2; which locks the reverse current possible due to the self-induced counter voltage, a direct current which has a maximum value when the two voltages E i and E 2 are approximately in phase, and a minimum value when the two voltages E i and E 2 are approximately in phase opposition. As a result, the relay R i receives an inrush or fault current, depending on the phase position. If there is no voltage E 2, the relay is de-energized. Another switching example is. shown in FIG. Here the coils S 5 and S 6 are connected in series with the rectifier G3 and the relay R2 to the voltage source E 2 in a manner corresponding to the aforementioned controlled circuit. In this case, however, the sense of direction of the rectifier G 3 and the coils S 5 and S6 is reversed. E 2, so that the effect of E 2 on the relay R 2 with respect to the phase position: is opposite to the effect on R i.
