Die gewöhnlichen Vorlegestangen für Thüren und Fenster besitzen den Vortheil, dais sie beim Oeffnen entweder ganz abgenommen oder an dem einen Ende gelöst und zurückgeschlagen, beim Schliefsen jedesmal eigens angelegt werden müssen. Durch die Anordnung des Schlitzes 5 wird ein Klemmen beim Oeffnen bezw. Schliefsen der Thür oder des Fensters vollkommen vermieden, es findet vielmehr der jeweiligen Bewegung der letzteren entsprechend eine Verschiebung einerseits der Stange c in der Röhre d, andererseits des Bolzens b im Schlitz s statt. Die Vorlegestange kann auf diese Weise jede Bewegung der Thür oder des Fensters mitmachen, ohne abgenommen werden zu müssen. Ein eigenes Schlofs für die Vorlegestange ist entbehrlich, da das Thür- oder Fensterschlofs selbst die Function des Vorlegestangenschlosses versieht.The new serving rod essentially consists of a tube d appropriately attached to the door.
