Reinigung von FilterplattenCleaning of filter plates
The present invention relates to a device for cleaning porous filter plates which are accessible from both sides and are used in particular for filtering water in open basins or channels. The filter plates are made of fine-mesh fiber mats which, for small filter areas, are supported on a coarse-mesh flexible net and, for larger filter areas, on a rigid grid on the side of the pure medium. Fine dirt particles naturally settle in these fiber mats, which increase the flow resistance considerably over a longer period of operation and therefore have to be removed.
Almost identical devices are mounted opposite each other on both sides of the filter plate, which, if necessary, are moved back and forth together parallel to the filter surface and touch the filter plate with sliding plates. On the side of the clean medium, a pressure pipe with a series of spray nozzles is arranged, which are intended to clean the filter plate with high pressure and to flush the contaminants contained in the pores back to the side of the uncleaned medium. There, opposite the spray nozzles, a suction pipe is arranged, which also touches the filter plate with sliding plates and catches the contaminants flushed back by the spray nozzles and leads them to a special sludge collection chamber.

The spray nozzles are supplied with pressurized water which is taken from the side of the clean medium by a pump. With this arrangement it is unavoidable that some of the fine dirt particles which have penetrated the pores of the filter plates are whirled up by the spray nozzles and penetrate between the filter surface and the sliding plates to the side of the clean medium.
The aim of the present invention is to capture and remove the dirt particles already present on the side of the clean medium.
To solve this problem, a device according to the first claim is proposed. The suction box according to the invention surrounds the pressure pipe with the spray nozzles and the sliding plates with its U-shaped cross section. It is also closed at its ends and only has a flat, open side opposite the filter surface. If a negative pressure is maintained in this box compared to the pure medium surrounding it, pure medium flows into the box at the edges between this box and the filter surface and takes with it all the dirt particles that have been stirred up by the spray nozzles. The suctioned medium can be fed to a special sludge collection chamber, similar to the other side of the filter plate.
According to the second claim, the medium that is extracted and contains fine dirt particles is then used to clean the filter plates using the spray nozzles. This significantly reduces the total amount of medium that has to be fed into a sludge collection chamber.

The third claim presents another possibility of reducing the consumption of pure filter medium by only extracting from the side of the suction box on the leading edge. The majority of fine dirt particles are inevitably stirred up between the spray nozzles and the leading edge of the box.
Claim 4 presents a further possibility of preferentially sucking away the dirt particles that are stirred up between the spray nozzles and the leading edge of the suction box. Due to the different gap widths between the edge of the suction box and the filter plate during the back and forth movement, more is sucked away where the greatest amount of dirt is expected.
An Filterplatte 1 bzw. Die gesamte, aus Saugrohr, Druckrohr und Absaug-Figure 1 shows a horizontal section through a device according to the invention. The porous, fine-fibered filter plate 1 is in this case stretched out vertically in a water basin not described or shown in detail and is supported on a coarse-meshed and flexible net 2 on the side of the clean medium. Two sliding plates 3 and 4 or 5 and 6 are arranged adjacent to the filter plate 1 or net 2, which are firmly connected to a vertical suction pipe 7 on the side of the contaminated medium and to a vertical pressure pipe 8 on the side of the clean medium. The pressure pipe 8 contains a series of spray nozzles 9 between the two sliding plates 5 and 6, it is rigidly connected to a suction box 10 and has a pressure nozzle 11 penetrating the suction box 10, while the suction box 10 itself has a suction nozzle 12. Both nozzles are, as only schematically indicated, connected via flexible lines to the corresponding nozzles of a pump 13. The entire system, consisting of suction pipe, pressure pipe and suction

The device, consisting of a suction nozzle 1 with the corresponding sliding plates, is arranged on both sides of the stationary filter plate 1 so that it can be moved back and forth horizontally and is set in motion as required in a manner known per se and without further illustration or description via a chain drive and with an electric motor. The suction pipe 7 carries a further suction nozzle 14 which, as is also only indicated schematically, is connected via a flexible line to the corresponding nozzles of a sludge pump 15. When this device is in operation, the water jets emerging from the spray nozzles clean the porous filter mats and flush a mixture of medium and dirt particles back through the filter plate to the side of the contaminated medium, from where these dirt particles are essentially removed via the suction pipe 7 and with the sludge pump 15. The negative pressure maintained in the suction box 10 during operation of the device ensures that no contaminated medium can penetrate into the clean medium between the filter plate 1 or net and the suction box 10. The large arrow to the right of the filter plate shows the current direction of movement of the device, while the small arrows show the direction of flow of the water.
