Procedure for determining and replenishing the amount of liquid that has evaporated
in the case of vessels filled with liquids with high vapor tension. If easily volatilized
Liquids are used to fill containers, vessels and the like, so is on
to ensure that these vessels are sealed off from the atmosphere if a
Evaporation and thus a drop in the liquid level should be avoided.
Especially with electrical devices such as transformers, chokes, switches or the like.
Like., With the atmosphere-related insulating liquids of
high vapor tension, e.g. B. chlorinated oils, mixed oils, Expansin, are filled, makes
The evaporation over time becomes extremely uncomfortable and can become over
to a certain extent not # to be accepted. The evaporation losses
must therefore be balanced again with these devices under all circumstances.
As a result of the evaporation of part of the vessel filling, the composition
the filling liquid changes, in order to avoid any difficulties that may arise,
make sure that only flawless and as far as possible coincide with the vessel filling
Isolating fluids, especially with regard to the specific weight
are of the same kind, can be used as a refill liquid. This is therefore necessary
because it is well known that only the volatile components of a liquid evaporate,
while the other, less easily evaporating components are retained.
The object of the invention is to provide a method that on the one hand
can determine how far the degree of evaporation has progressed and how on the other hand
the vaporized liquid is returned to the monitor to be monitored in a simple and quick manner
Vessel can be fed.
According to the invention, the monitored,
A sight glass is attached to the vessel filled with liquid of higher vapor tension, which
contains multiple floats, each of different weights. The different levels of difficulty
Floats indicate the respective degree of evaporation by depending on the respective
specific gravity of one or the other in the liquid drops. Of course
the opposite case is also conceivable, with swimmers of different weights
Change in specific gravity increase and thereby cause the display.
In order to be able to return the evaporated amount of liquid to the monitored vessel,
a second vessel is connected to this vessel, the one with the same liquid
how the vessel to be monitored is filled. This refill can be used to monitor
Vessel have a completely different position. For example, it can be at the bottom at the side
can be placed on this vessel, or it can be placed on vessels with a special one
The expansion tank must also be connected to the expansion tank. The refilling
itself can be carried out on a case-by-case basis on the basis of the float display, for example
by hand, or the refilling can also be carried out automatically by
For example, the refilling process using floats, pressure cans or other control devices
is initiated. The swimmers themselves are expediently placed in a visible place,
in particular in a display device to be attached to the vessel, attach the.
can be constructed similarly to a water level indicator.
Will
With reference to the drawing, which shows an embodiment for the implementation
of the method according to the invention shows, the invention will be explained in more detail:
I denotes the tank of a transformer and z its expansion vessel,
its liquid in connection with the boiler insulating liquid via a pipe 3
stands. The insulating liquid used to fill the boiler, e.g. B. chlorinated oils,
Mixed oils, expansin and the like are substances of higher vapor tension and consequently volatilize
easily if they come into contact with the atmosphere, for example via the pipe socket io
come. On the expansion tank 2, a sight glass 4 is attached, which is like a
Liquid level indicator may be designed and connected. Of course
this sight glass can also be attached to any side surface of the boiler i
will. In the sight glass itself are several floats 5, z. B. balls or otherwise
shaped body, housed. It is important that each of these swimmers is one of
has a different weight than the other swimmer. The choice of float weights can be
be made in such a way that with the correct composition of the insulating liquid all
Swimmers rise up and down one after the other when entered
Evaporation of part of the boiler fill liquid also changes the specific
Weight of the filling liquid has resulted. The successive subsidence
the individual swimmer is therefore a measure of the degree of condensation that has occurred in each case.
The sinking of one or more swimmers gives the operator
a reliable signal for topping up or topping up the tank filling liquid. Want
if you do not observe the sinking of the float directly at the sight glass, then you can
easy, as is already known for other purposes, also an optical or
acoustic remote indication can be provided.
Refilling the evaporated liquid is done in several ways
feasible. This process is expedient and particularly simple when
according to the invention on the boiler i, for example at the bottom side, a second vessel
6 (refill vessel), which is filled with the same liquid as boiler i,
is arranged and this vessel is connected to the boiler i via a pipe 7
will. Valves or pump elements can be installed in the pipeline 7,
by means of which the liquid from the vessel 6 can be introduced or pushed into the boiler i
is. If, on the other hand, the refill vessel, as indicated by dashed lines at 8, is attached to the expansion vessel
is connected, the refill liquid flows after opening a flow valve
9 by itself into the boiler i after. Here, too, the control of the reflow can be used
can be made automatically.
