Bei den bisher üblichen Fenstern besteht der
C'belstand, daß durch die Ritzen des Fensterrah-
rnens eine gewisse Luftzirkulation eintritt. Trotz
des in der Regel angewendeten Stufenabsatzes, der
eine gewisse t_al)yrintliwirkung hervorruft, läßt
sich eine ausreichende Ablichtung doch nicht er-
zielen, weil selbst bei noch so sorgfältiger Her-
stellung die Holzrahmen sich im Laufe der Zeit
werfen und dadurch größere Spalte entstehen.
Eine gute Altdichtung ist aber, insbesondere in (fier
kalten Jahreszeit, erforderlich, unreine ausreichende
Wärmeisolation zu erzielen.
Nach der Erfindung wird dieser Nachteil da-
durch vermieden, daß man ohne Anwendung der
üblichen Stufenabsätze glatte Stirnflächen anwen-
det und zugleich die Fensterrahmen um niittig an-
geordnete Zapfen schNvenkbar lagert und die Ab-
dichtung durch in die Stirnflächen eingelassene,
nachgiebige. über den ganzen Rahmenumfang ver-
laufende Dichtungselemente vornimmt.
Weitere Einzelheiten seien an Hand der Zeich-
nung näher erläutert. Es zeigt

Nach der Ausführungsform der Fig. i und 2
besteht (las Fenster aus einem Rahmen i, dessen
mittlere nuerlelSte2 an beiden Enden Drehzapfen3
aufweist, mit denen das Fenster firn Außenrahmen4
uni eine horizontale Achse in Form eines Klapp-
fensters zum Zwecke des Öffnens vierschwenkbar
ist. An der Außenstirnfläche des Innenrahmens i
;;reift der herausragende Teil einer Gummidich-
tung 5 an, welche als Gummischlauch ausgebildet
ist. Diese Dichtung ist in einer Aussparung 6 am
Außenralinien 4 eingelegt.-
Uni beim Schließen des Fensters eine Beschä-
digung (res herausragenden Gutniniteiles zu ver-
meiden, sind die Außenkanten des Innenrahmens i
finit leichtert Abschrägungen versehen, die beim
Schließen des Fensters die Gummidichtung leicht
zurückdrücken. Nach der Ausführungsform der
Fig. 4 ist das Dichtungselement aus Filz in Trapez-
form ausgebildet und in einer entsprechend schwal-
benschwanzförniigen mit am Außenrahmen ein-
gebettet.
Nach der :Nusführungsforrn der Fig. 5 ist der
Querschnitt der Dichtung ebenfalls trapezförmig
gewählt, jedoch bestellt die Dichtung aus einem
Hohlguinntischlauch.
Bei den beschriebenen Ausführungsbeispielen ist
das Fenster uni horizontal liegende Zapfen ver-
schwenkbar. Genau so gut könnenaberauchFenster
verwendet werden, bei denen die Schwenkzapfen
lotrecht liegen.
Bei den bisher üblichen Fenstern, die aus ge-
trennten l,' bügeln bestehen, ruht die 1_uft im Raum
z,vischen den beiden Scheiben nicht; vielmehr kann
sie nicht nur von außen durch die zahlreichen
Ritzen in den Z#,vischenrauin zwischen die beiden
Scheiben eindringen, sondern außerdem auch aus
diesem Zwischenraum in (las Innere des Wohn-
raumes gelangen. Je nach (lebt Temperatur- und
Winddruckverhältnissen wird also eine Luftzirku-
lation von außen über die Ritzen in den Zwischen-
raum zwischen den Fenstern und von da nach dem
Innenrahm eintreten. Oder auch in umgekehrter
Richtung vom Innenraum nach der Außenluft.
Durch diese Wirbelbildung im Zwischenraum
zwischen den beiden Scheiben wird die erwünschte
Isolierwirkung weitgehend herabgemindert.
Da bekanntlich die Luft nur dann ein hoher
Wärmeisolator ist, wenn sie möglichst ruht, wird
nach der Erfindung von dieseln Prinzip dadurch
Gebrauch gemacht, daß die beiden Fensterscheiben
in einem vollständig geschlossenen Rahmen ein-
gekittet sind, so daß die darin eingeschlossene Luft
von außen vollständig isoliert ist. Durch die Kitt-
fugen kann natürlich keine Luft eindringen. Die
hier eingeschlossene Luft bildet also einen voll-
kommenen Isolator.
