Description
The problem of the rail joint is well known in the railroad industry. It The aim was always to avoid those that occur when driving on such a rail joint Avoid or at least mitigate bumps and blows. As is well known, these are based on that the end of the rail by virtue of the weight of the vehicle on it the wheel pressure lowers and thus the wheel when crossing over to the end of the following Rail must be raised by an appropriate amount, of course at the same time the new end of the rail is pressed down accordingly.
The present invention now aims to overcome the disadvantages of the known To fix rail joint connections. It relates to a rail joint connection that is characterized in that the two abutting rail ends except through the side tabs and a spring assembly below the rails are connected, the at least one prestressed, against the soles of both rail ends has pressed, resilient organ, the abutment of which at the two rail ends attacks.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing illustrated.
Fig. i zeigt eine solche Schienenstoßverbindung von der Seite gesehen, teilweise im Schnitt; Fig.2 zeigt einen Querschnitt nach der Linie A-A der Fig. i.Fig. I shows such a rail joint connection seen from the side, partly in section; Fig. 2 shows a cross section along the line A-A of Fig. i.
According to FIG. I, the end i of one rail rests in the usual manner the threshold 2 and the end 3 of the following rail accordingly on the threshold q. on. Both rail ends i and 3 are secured by the usual side tabs 5 and bracket screws 6 connected to one another. Except through these normal fasteners However, the rails are still supported by a spring assembly located below the rail ends connected with each other. This unit has a pretensioned compression spring 7, which rests with the lower end on the abutment and with the upper end through the preload pressure is pressed against the soles of both rail ends. The abutment has a bracket 8 on which the spring 7 rests directly. The bracket 8 is Provided at both ends with an eye 9 through which a support bolt is passed is. This support bolt is mounted in bores of the carrier i i on both sides the rail are arranged and each one of the by means of a nose i2 over the foot Grab the rail ends.
If the rail joint is driven over by a rail vehicle in the direction of the arrow drawn in FIG. This lowering movement is transferred, however, apart from the cooperation of the tabs 5, by virtue of the spring 7 and its abutment to the subsequent rail end 3. With a suitable bias of the spring 7 of, for. B. 12 to 15 t therefore experiences the rail end 3 a lowering movement of the same size under this transmitting force as the preceding rail end i, so that the occurrence of a height difference between the two rail ends is prevented.
Between the compression spring 7 and the feet of the rail ends i and ' 3 a common spring plate can be inserted.
Instead of a spring, another type of resilient element can also be used be used, e.g. B. a `rubber buffer of sufficient rigidity and preload.
The nib unit must be designed in such a way that it can also pass through the thermal expansion caused displacements of the rail ends in their longitudinal direction is not destroyed, which requirement z. B. the present, drawn example on the one hand by the resilience of the vertical legs of the bracket 8 and on the other hand, it is sufficient that the lugs 12 slide on the rail feet can be done. It is, however, to take precaution that the resilient organ if possible is always symmetrical to both rail ends.
The abutment can also be designed differently, for. B. in the form of a one-part or multi-part housing that is attached to each one of the rail ends and the resilient member laterally and below includes and is supported in such a way that it is with the desired preload force is pressed against both rail ends.
