Description

Method for protecting wool against textile pests I: it is known that wool can be treated treatment finitely suitable means against the attack of "l'extilscliädlingen slits. The application koinnien-ile protective agents «usually neither applied from organic solvents, or the wool will be in neutral or acidic Iiaderil treated with the 'means; so you can z Il. add the active ingredients to the dye bath as well. An application of the protective agents from alkaline \ ledium has not yet been carried out because under none of these conditions, or at least none adequate protection against attack by textile Schadlin, geii was to be reached. It has now been found that wool can be protrude (l genuinely against the attack of textile damage lingen can equip if you have protective means that the group - S 02 - NH -containing, adds directly to the washing and fulling liquors. This is surprising because it could not be foreseen that such protective agents from alkaline baths would be absorbed sufficiently onto the wool. The process of the invention can also be carried out successfully in strongly alkaline fulling liquors. Here, too, there are no disruptions whatsoever. The protective agents of the type indicated withstand the fulling process and give the treated complete product an excellent protective effect against attack by textile pests. The use of protective agents against textile pests in the washing and fulling liquids means a significant simplification of the finishing process for many fabrications as well as greatly simplified storage of the dyeings. For the method are such. B. sulfonamides, which are derived from aliphatic or aromatic sulfonic acids and nm amide radical are substituted by an alkyl, aryl or aralkyl radical; Particularly suitable compounds are those which are substituted by halogen in one or both organic radicals of the molecule. Examples i. 0.5 to 1 mg / 1 of chloromethanesulfotrichloroanilide or its sodium salt are dissolved with part of the 50 ° warm fulling liquor and poured together with the remaining part and the fabric to be milled is treated in the usual way. After this treatment, the goods are protected against pests.

Nach dieser Behandlung ist die Ware gegen Fraßschädlinge geschützt.2. 1 to 2 g / 1 of the sodium salt of chloromethanesulfotrichloroanilide are dissolved clear with hot, soft water, and the solution is added to the wash liquor and washed the goods in the usual way. After this treatment, the goods are protected against pests.

When washing raw (sweat) wool z. B. be on the Leviathan one or more of the washing or rinsing baths 1 to 2 g / 1 of the sodium salt of Chlormethanesulfotrichloranilid added and the wool finished in the usual way. This wool treated in this way has very good protection against moth damage and can can be further processed without being disadvantaged.

The chloromethanesulfotrichloroanilide is replaced in the above examples z. B. by 3, 4 = dichlorobenzenesulfod, ichloranilid, 3, 4-dichlorobenzenesulfotrichloranilide, Chlormethanesulfodichloranilid, Chlormethansulfo-4-chlor-2-methox_vanilid or 3, 4-dichlorobenzenesulfomethylamide, one comes to similar results.
