Das Zahnrad des Kippaggregates kann mit der an sich bekannten Handkurbel in Verbindung stehen, um bei Fortfall der Stromversorgung die Handbetätigung einzuschalten. Weiter ist es gegeben, sowohl bei Verriegelung der Kippbrücke als auch bei Erreichung des größten Kippwinkels durch Stromunterbrechung den Motor bzw. das Ritzel automatisch außer Eingriff mit dem Zahnrad des Kippmechanismus zu bringen, um sowohl den Motor, das Getriebe als auch die Fahrzeugkonstruktion vor Überlastung zu schützen.
