In dieses Loch wird das Kugellager geschoben, und es wird hierdurch zunächst erreicht, daß die radialen Beanspruchungen des Lagers unmittelbar von dem Außenring des Kugellagers in die Blechwand geleitet werden. Schrauben oder Befestigungen, wie sie bisher verwendet werden, entfallen also oder können kleiner gewählt werden, da die Lagerkräfte von ihnen nicht aufgenommen werden müssen.
