Pipe joint Movable pipe couplings are known in which
a spherical connector is screwed or welded on at one end,
while at the other end of the pipe a connecting piece with a hollow cone is also attached
is into which the ball piece fits tangentially and wherein the connecting pieces
axially clamped together in an otherwise known manner, for example by a union nut or flange connection
will.
Druckluft.Since with such a connection the metallic seal is reduced to
the point of contact tangentially adjacent to the spherical surface alone is not sufficient
various attempts have been made within such connecting pieces
To install a soft seal in the hollow cone, for example. Such in particular
pipe couplings still common in mining today as a result of their displacements
not at all satisfied with subsidence. Rigid pipe connections lead to
Broken pipes and injuries at the connection points. The high air pressure
cause such leaks, which are also difficult to find and repair
the mining companies incur high operating costs due to the replacement of the lost ones
Compressed air.
Bedeutung. An articulated pipe connection that eliminates these deficiencies is
thus in particular for the mining of quite considerable technical and economic
Meaning.
The subject of this invention is an elastically movable pipe connection,
through which the above-described defects are eliminated. The pipe joint after the
Invention consists of two interlocking ball pieces, each with a
Pipe ends are screwed or welded tightly and tightly. All points of contact
the ball pieces with each other and with all parts of the bracing
are
arranged on concentric circumferences of different diameters,
likewise the stop surfaces, through which the mobility of the pipe joint
is firmly limited. For this purpose, the two spherical pieces grip on ground metal
Sealing surfaces into one another, which are caused by the bracing of the joint against one another
are kept pressed and can be retightened at any time. Such full sealing surfaces
can also be wholly or partially clamped in the same in annular grooves
Sealing bodies made of other elastic or flexible materials,
to be interrupted. The same then serve as an additional seal to the
Metal sealing surfaces.
dargestellt. Abb. i zeigt ein solches Rohrgelenk im Längsschnitt in ungefähr natürlicher
Größe aus der Geraden radial ausgeflogen. Abb. 2 zeigt ein gleiches Rohrgelenk im
Längsschnitt in gerader Richtung der Rohrleitung. In the drawing, for example, a pipe joint according to the invention
shown. Fig. I shows such a pipe joint in a longitudinal section in an approximately natural way
Size flown radially out of the straight line. Fig. 2 shows an identical pipe joint in the
Longitudinal section in the straight direction of the pipeline.
The pipe ends 3 and 4 each have a ball piece 5 and 6 welded on,
and the ball pieces on the spherical surfaces 15 and 16 mesh with one another. The adapter sleeve
7 in conjunction with a clamping ring 8 and a union nut 9 enables the
Bracing of the ball pieces in the axial direction. All contact surfaces of the ball pieces
with each other and with the individual parts of the bracing io, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18
and the stop surfaces 13, 14 for limiting the joint movements are concentric
arranged circumferences of different diameters lying opposite one another. The spherical surfaces
15 and 16 on the ball pieces 5 and 6 can be ground on one another in a metallic manner
Form sealing surfaces. It can also, as shown, have a sealing ring i9 inside
interrupt the metal sealing surfaces spanned by an annular groove. Basically, like this
to the metal sealing surface 16 is shown in the drawing, a sealing ring
be clamped within an annular groove, which the metal sealing surface 15 in the ball piece
6 interrupts. In the spaces 2olund 21 between the clamping necks 7 and the outer ones
Circumferences 17 and 18 of the ball pieces 5 and 6 can also have additional sealing bodies
be installed, which press these spaces tightly due to the tension. Even
the clamping ring 8 can be made of sealing material or for the same purpose
it becomes its contact surface io with the outer circumference of the ball piece 5
this ground in so that a ground sealing surface is also available here
is. The joint 22 between the pipe ends is thus arranged by several one behind the other
Seals secured. The ball piece 5 can be trumpet-shaped,
so that in no position of the pipe joint a. Narrowing of the clear pipe diameter
entry. Fig. 3 shows a longitudinal section of a pipe joint according to the invention with metallic
Sealing surfaces on the outer and inner circumference of the ball pieces. Fig.4 shows in longitudinal section
a pipe joint according to the invention with a clamped inside the ball pieces
Sealing body.
in radial ausgebogener Stellung.
According to Fig. 3, the inner spherical surface 25 of the clamping sleeve z4 is ground into the outer peripheral surface 18 of the spherical piece 6 and in this way forms an additional sealing of the connecting joint 22 downstream of the metallic sealing surface 15, 16 with the outer circumferential surface 17 on the spherical piece 5 such an additional seal of the connecting joint 22 on this side of the pipe joint 17, 26 also under the operating pressure. This is particularly significant if Diclitk irllers made of another elastic or flexible material are built into the metallic sealing surfaces, as in 19, and in this way interrupt the metallic sealing surfaces and the joint a certain amount in the axial direction Mobility is essential. The tubular joint according to Fig. 3 is in drawn straight direction. Fig.4 shows a pipe joint according to the invention in a radially bent position. The two pipe ends 3 and 4 have high tensile strength, a Kugelstiick 29ttn <i 28 each and tightly attached, which older with its externa ß extent by the clamping sleeve 24 and the clamping ring are held together in each position of the joint 23rd, with the same mesh with a toothing. The movement of the tube is limited by its stop in the clamping sleeve and in the clamping ring. Each of the tubes can move radially in all directions within this limitation. Inside the spherical pieces, a sealing body 3o is placed on ground spherical surfaces, which is pulled onto an explosive sleeve 31, so it is not only due to its own elasticity, but also from the tension of the explosive sleeve and finally as a result of the action of the operating pressure against the contact surfaces in the spherical pieces and is held pressed against the sealing body and seals the joint between these surfaces. If the contact surfaces on the clamping sleeve and on the clamping ring are ground in to match the circumference of the spherical pieces, an additional all-round seal of the connecting step between the spherical pieces 28 and 20 is created on these surfaces fear that such influences cancel each other out. An inevitable limitation of such movements can also be provided for this purpose.
