Vacuum-tight around the suction point of evacuated glass or metal vessels

Pump nozzle melted off on glass vessels and squeezed wide on metal vessels
and welded. It has been shown that the spreading and welding
does not always give a sufficient seal. You therefore have to go into the pump nozzle
with a smaller diameter of the same a silver wire inserted so that at
the weld resulted in a silver soldering, or one has a larger diameter of the
Pump nozzle inserted into this a solder in the form of a tube and then the pump nozzle
squeezed together and soldered closed by external heating. Introducing the mentioned
Solder tube, however, requires a certain skill, since the named tube in
the pump nozzle must be safely inserted up to the point at which the squeezing
of the pump nozzle. Such operations should, however, be used during evacuation
and vacuum seal. Closing the suction point should be avoided as far as possible
to simplify this process. The present invention therefore discloses one
another way to achieve a vacuum-tight sealing of vessels. The inventive

In Fig. I is a vacuum-tight closure with wire fusing
shown, while Fig. 2 shows a vacuum-tight closure of a vessel,
which is evacuated by means of a pump nozzle.
In Fig. I, through the parts i and 2, the vessel wall of the to
evacuating vessel indicated, the breakthrough by means of a known
Glass bushing 3, in which, for example, a connecting wire 4 rests, completed
is. The connecting wire 4 is at its end protruding from the vessel with a
Surrounding heating coil 5 after a tin ring 6, z. B. a short piece
Kolophoriiurnziriri, from which the rosin has been removed, is pulled. This tin ring
rests on the wire entry in such a way that the glass vessel is evacuated at this point
is possible under one recipient. Once the vessel has been evacuated, it can be heated up
of the spiral, the solder can be melted and thus a vacuum-tight seal
be achieved. The resulting solder joint 7 is shown in FIG. 1a.
If the vessel is evacuated through a pump nozzle, then
As shown in FIG. 2, the pump nozzle 8 can be narrowed at the separation point.
The solder g required for soldering is introduced through the pump nozzle and rests
as it were, like a valve on the constriction of the pump nozzle. The shape of the solder
or the soldered body need not be conical, as shown in the figure
but can also be the shape of a sphere or any other for a valve
have a suitable shape. When suctioning off, the solder 8 rises like a valve until the
The suction process is finished, whereupon by heating the shown in Fig. 2,
The heating coil lying around the pump nozzle causes a flow and thus a soldering of the
Pump nozzle takes place. At some distance from the constriction, the separation can then be made
of the vessel.
The vessels of the above: '1rt can be used in particular for receiving
of crystals, relays, switches, fuses, etc. are used.
