Der Abstreifnippel ist quer zur Achse seiner Durchtrittsöffnung beweglich angeordnet, um Drahtbiegungen quer zur Längsachse des Drahtes bequem ausweichen zu können. Hierdurch ist es möglich, daß sich der Draht mittels der zwischen Draht und Nippelwand hindurch schiebenden Lacklösung stets selbsttätig so einstellt, daß der Isolationsauftrag zentrisch auf dem Leiter aufgebracht werden kann. Um die Reibung zwischen dem Nippel und seiner Auflage weitgehendst herabzusetzen, ist der Abstreifnippel auf Kugeln, z. B. mittels eines Kugelringes oder einer Kugelpfanne, gelagert, so daß ein leichtes Ausweichen des Nippels gewährleistet ist. Der Nippel kann auch auf einem Schwimmkörper angeordnet sein, der auf dem Flüssigkeitsspiegel des Lackbehälters aufliegt. Ferner ist es möglich, den Nippel zweiteilig auszubilden, derart, daß er aus einem Führungsnippel und einem Abstreifnippel besteht, die starr miteinander verbunden sind. Hierbei wird der Führungsnippel auf der Einführungsöffnung des Lackbehälters pendelnd gelagert.
