Description
I:ier. The previously known devices for deposition mainly liquid admixtures from gaseous and vaporous media are based either on the Principle of centrifugal separation or on the baffle plate principle. The disadvantage the centrifugal separation consists in the relatively low degree of efficiency, d. H. the finest parts are not separated out. I: ier.
The disadvantage of the apparatus working with baffle plates is that Tendency of the same to become slightly soiled, whereby the effect is shortened after a while is very adversely affected.
The following describes a novel embodiment that this Avoids disadvantages and thus an improvement in the efficiency ~ results.
A filter body in the form of a body with a large surface, e.g. B. a baffle plate system of any shape and design; also from individual Plates assembled, above: also 'z. B. in the form of a sponge, porous Preßstoffkörpers, ceramic plates or similar permeable, porous body is switched into the gas or steam flow to be cleaned and rotated there. The gas or steam flow penetrates through these filter bodies for cleaning. As it flows through this filter body, the gas or vapor stream becomes separate streams divided according to the number of pores or individual flow cross-sections. By the known-effect of the baffle system touch in the respective Diverting the direction of movement of the partial flows within the filter body, the individual Liquid particles hit the walls of the filter body and stick there. As a result the rotation of the filter body migrates the liquid particles under the influence the 'centrifugal force outwards and are at the largest diameter of the filter body, provided the peripheral speed of the outer diameter of this filter body is big enough then thrown off. This makes it an ongoing cleaning process in the filter body in any shape and depending on the properties of the to cleaning gases and vapors or their liquid admixtures formed or causes selected cavities. So it always remains the separation effect same. In what shape the filter body, which is designed as a body of revolution, the division of the gas or vapor flow into individual flows through pores or other Caused individual openings is of no importance for the inventive concept. Of the The filter body must be strong enough to withstand the required rotation.
The rotation of this filter body can be carried out externally by a drive motor take place. But it can also be taken from the flow energy of the gas or steam will. The latter can be achieved by attaching guide vanes or the like to the filter body itself be effected on which the gas or vapor flow upon entry or exit hits from the filter body. But it can, also through the formation of a baffle plate system in a certain form that occurs when the individual partial flows are diverted within the Filter body the back pressures created on these to generate the rotation to be used. When extracting energy from the gas or steam stream, to a destruction of the filter body by reaching an excessive speed To avoid it, it is advisable to provide a device that controls the speed limited to a certain level, e.g. B. a centrifugal brake.
In Fig. 1 the filter body is in the form of a rotating disk I switched into the gas flow. This pulley is driven by a V-belt the electric motor 2 made to rotate.
At the outer diameter of the disk I, the liquid particles thrown off and against the wall 3. They collect in the catch groove 4 and can be continuously discharged through the pipe socket 5.
In Fig. 2 the filter body is designed as a rotating hollow cylinder 6. This is the case of the drive of the filter body mentioned in the description to be represented by the gas flow itself, provided with external ribs. Of the The filter body itself is in set in rotation in the manner indicated. Here, too, are the liquid particles hurled against the housing wall g and flow through the housing bottom IO into the Drain pipe II. The purified gas stream leaves the filter device at 8. the Device, which in this case avoids dangerous overspeed, is as Centrifugal brake I2 shown schematically.
