Hiergegen sind bereits Anordnungen bekanntgeworden, bei denen die Filter nach einiger Betriebszeit in entgegengesetzter Richtung von einem Medium durchspült werden. Dieses Spülen kann zweckmäßig mit Hilfe eines Luftstromes erfolgen. Die bisher bekanntgewordenen Anordnungen sind aber sehr aufwendig und kompliziert in ihrem Aufbau, so daß eine große Störanfälligkeit zu verzeichnen ist. Dadurch wird erreicht, daß die aus dem Filter beim Spülvorgang beseitigten Rückstände vom Filter möglichst weit entfernt werden, damit sie nicht neuerlich zu einer Verstopfung beitragen können. Diese Teile werden bei einer Drehung der Trommel nebst Filter durch die Fliehkraftwirkung an die Außenwand der Trommel geschleudert, wo sie sich festsetzen und dann leicht entfernt werden können. Durch die Fliehkraftwirkung werden auch diejenigen Rückstände, die noch nicht bis zum Filter gelangt sind, zum großen Teil gegen die Trommelwand geschleudert, so daß nur verhältnismäßig reine Flüssigkeit an das Filter gelangt, wodurch einer Verstopfung gleichfalls entgegengearbeitet wird.
