The invention relates to bicycle supports which can be folded up
attached to the frame.
In the known designs, the support arm is usually open through
lying springs held in the end positions. Bicycle supports have also become known,
in which an encapsulated spring acts on a knee joint and so the support in
holds the end positions. These arrangements are expensive to manufacture and give
the support in its upper position does not have an absolutely secure hold, so that on bad
Rattling of the prop occurs easily.
gleichmittig liegende Schraubenfeder erzeugt.
The invention represents a particularly simple solution through which
these disadvantages are avoided. The flip-up support arm, which is preferably
is made of pipe is in its end positions by an axial detent
more securely held. The necessary axial locking pressure is generated by a shaft in the hollow shaft
co-centered helical spring generated. Through this arrangement the spring is
it is possible to make them as strong as you want, as there is enough space for them to be accommodated
the same is available. Also in this arrangement is the coil spring
completely protected from the weather and dirt. The equidistant arrangement
of shaft and helical spring makes the same use as a torsion spring
possible. For this purpose it is given a torsional prestress in addition to the tensile prestress,
by which the folding up of the support arm and holding it in his
upper rest position is supported. In this case, the latching form must be designed in this way
be that the locking effect in the lower position of use of the support the turning effect
the spring outweighs so much that an independent disengagement is definitely excluded
is. The axially acting detent can be carried out with frictional or with rolling engagement
will. In the former case, for example, a simple cross pin that opens
the catch rests on. In the latter case, roles that roll on the rest can
are provided. The support arm, which expediently with the shaft from one
consists of a single piece of steel pipe is at its lower end with a cap or
sealed with a stopper made of rustproof material. This has the advantage that
the support cannot attach any rust to its contact point on the floor, which could also be
the time would extend to the rest of the support tube.
In letzterer stellt dar Abb.
An embodiment of the bicycle support according to the invention is
briefly described below with reference to the drawing. In the latter, Fig.
i is a side view of the support, Fig. 2 is a front view, Fig. 3 is a section
through the storage when using a tension spring, Fig. 4 a section through the
Storage when using a compression spring.
The bearing block i, in which the support tube 2 made of one piece with the shaft is rotatably mounted, is fastened by means of the support plate 3 and the fastening screw 4 to the rear frame strut of the bicycle between the bottom bracket and the rear fender. The support tube 2 is held in its end positions by an axially acting latching device. This consists of a notch 5 attached to the end face of the bearing block i, into which the pin 6 connected to the shaft engages. In the interior of the part of the support tube 2 that forms the shaft, there is a helical spring 7 or 8, which presses the pin 6 onto the catch 5 in the axial direction. The helical spring can either be designed as a tension spring 7 according to Fig. 3 or as a compression spring 8 according to Fig. 4. In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 3, the tension spring 7 is fastened on the one hand to the pin 6 connected to the axle and on the other hand to the pin 9 which is seated in a cap io firmly connected to the bearing block i. The tension spring 7 also acts as a torsion spring. The necessary torsional stress can be achieved in the simplest manner, for example, by turning the cap io on the bearing block i. The cap io must then be secured against turning back. In the embodiment according to Fig. 4, the compression spring 8 rests on the one hand on the crimped edge ii of the support tube 2, while on the other hand it rests on the head 12 of the clamping bolt 13 , which in turn is fastened to the cap 15 and clamped with the nut 14 can. If the compression spring is to act as a torsion spring at the same time, its ends must be connected to the components on which it rests in a known manner to prevent rotation. The support tube 2 is closed at its end with the stopper 16 made of stainless material.
