Es ist bekannt, dafs man Siebtücher bisher in der Weise festlegte, dafs man — dies ist das älteste Verfahren — das Siebtuch über den unteren Rand des Siebobertheiles legte und mittelst des über den letzteren gezwängten Siebuntertheiles anklemmte. Ein solches Vorgehen veranlafste indessen wegen der unvermeidlichen Faltenbildung bald ein Unbrauchbarwerden des Siebtuches. Diesen Uebelstand sucht die in der neueren Zeit bekannt gewordene Siebtuchbefestigung zu beseitigen, indem das Siebtuch mit seinem Rande an einen Rahmen angeschlossen wird. Dieser Rahmen wird alsdann im Siebmantel befestigt.
