Generatorseite aufgenommen. The two sides of the electric generator of steam turbine sets
are known to have been evenly cooled in such a way that cold air initially
from the side of the generator facing away from the turbine through heat-insulated tubes
the side of the generator adjacent to the turbine and thus relatively warm
is forwarded. With this design, however, the cold air has when it has the turbine-side
Winding heads of the generator already reached heat from the winding heads of the other
Generator side added.
Kaltluft in gleichen Mengen zugeführt.
In another known arrangement, one becomes the back of the stand
- Ring channel surrounding the generator, the winding heads on both sides of the generator
Cold air supplied in equal amounts. However, this facility does not allow
Sufficient cooling of the significantly more heated end windings on the turbine side
of the generator.
According to the invention, both sides of the generator are thereby on
a uniform and at the same time low temperature that the cold air brought out
an annular channel of the type mentioned essentially on the turbine side of the generator
is fed in and completely passed through the generator in the axial direction,
«Only nourishes a small part of the cold air from the ring duct on the other side
of the generator is fed.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is illustrated in the drawing. The generator attached to the housing of the turbine 2 is denoted by i and consists of the stator 3 with the active iron, the housing 5 and the winding 6 and the rotor 7 with the active iron 8 and the shaft 9. On the end faces of the stator iron, partition walls io and ii with holes 12 and 13 are provided in a known manner , which laterally delimit an annular channel between the back of the stator iron: I and the housing 5. The stator winding heads are labeled i.1 and 15. Outside the winding heads 15, an end wall 16 is arranged in a known manner, which has a central opening 17 for receiving a fan 18 seated on the shaft 9. The end wall 16 is adjoined in a known manner by an annular space i9, from which a bent tube 2o leads to an opening ai in the housing wall 5. A cooler 22 is located in this tube. The fan i8 is constructed in a known manner in such a way that it sucks air out of the interior of the machine when the shaft is turned around; he then presses the air into the annular space 19, from where it is fed back to the machine through the pipe 20 and the cooler 22. Most of the air flows through the openings 12 in the end wall over the end windings 14 and from there through the air gap between the stator iron: I and rotor iron 8 and through known axial channels 23 in the stator iron and channels 24 on the back of the stator iron. Only a small part of the air leaving the tube 2o is fed through the openings 13 to the winding heads 15, in which this air mixes with the air sucked through the active iron. The openings 13 have a smaller cross section than the openings 12, so that the amount of cooling air sucked through them is less than that sucked through the openings 12. For better adjustment of the ratio of these two air flows, the size of the openings 13 can be made adjustable, for which purpose diaphragms are expediently used.
