Description
Verschmelzung einer Eisen- oder Nickellegierung mit Glas Die Herstellung einer Verschmelzung einer Eisen-Nickel-Legierung, die etwa 58% Eisen enthält, mit Glas von gleichem Ausdehnungskoeffizienten unter Verwendung einer Glaszwischenschicht, deren Ausdehnungskoeffizient mit dem der zu verbindenden Körper nicht übereinstimmt, bietet Schwierigkeiten. Diese Schwierigkeiten werden erfindungsgemäß dadurch behoben, daß die Eisen-Nickel-Legierung mit einem Glas aus 3q.0/0 Si02, 281/o B203, 7019 A12031 :291/o Pb 0 und 2% Nag O unter Verwendung eines Zwischenglases aus 62 % S i 02, 29% B2 03, 3 % A1203 und 6 % Na20 verschmolzen wird. Das zuletzt genannte Glas weicht in seinem Ausdehnungskoeffizienten von dem zuerst genannten und von dem der Eisen-Nickel-Legierung merklich ab. Es hat jedoch die Eigenschaft, an der Eisen-Nickel-Legierung sehr gut zu haften. Es entsteht daher überraschenderweise trotz der Verschiedenheit der Ausdehnungskoeffizienten eine zuverlässige Verbindung zwischen dem Bleiglas und der Eisen-Nickel-Legierung unter Vermittlung des bleifreien Zwischenglases.Fusing an iron or nickel alloy with glass The preparation of a fusing of an iron-nickel alloy, which contains about 58% iron, with glass of the same expansion coefficient using an intermediate glass layer, the expansion coefficient of which does not match that of the bodies to be joined, presents difficulties. Die erfindungsgemäße Verschmelzung unterscheidet sich von den bekannten Verschmelzungen dadurch, daß zwischen das mit der Eisen-Nickel-Legierung hinsichtlich des Ausdehnungskoeffizienten übereinstimmenden Bleiglases, das an dieser Legierung keine genügende Haftfähigkeit besitzt, eine Zwischenschicht vorgesehen ist, die aus bleifreiem Glas besteht, das infolge seines Abweichens im Ausdehnungskoeffizienten von der Legierung bisher als ungeeignet zu einer derartigen Verschmelzung angesehen wurde, das aber die Eigenschaft hat, an der Legierung hervorragend zu haften, so daß sich trotz der Verschiedenheit im Ausdehnungskoeffizienten eine zuverlässige Verbindung zwischen dem Bleiglas und der Eisen-N ickel-Legierung herstellen läßt.Glass and metal with the intermediary of intermediate glasses to merge is known per se.
