Description

Method of washing In the patent 746,448 it is suggested with viscose colloidal solutions of the water-insoluble alkali metaphosphates (Kurrolscbe Salts). The pure solutions of these alkali metaphosphates react neutrally. It has now been found that the alkali metaphosphates mentioned are of great advantage can be used as detergents in acidic liquor.

Man hat bisher hierzu u. a. The acidic wash is very general for fabrics with washable and fake dyeings, especially for wool, of great value. The wool laundry is most conveniently carried out at the isoelectric point of wool (pH = d, g). So far one has for this inter alia. Fettall: oholsulfonate, as opposed to. to the ordinary Fatty soaps a wash in acidic. Fleet enable applied. The practice came across Here, however, on difficulties that are that the detergency of this Detergent in the acidic range is much smaller than in the alkaline range. In addition, the effective detergent particles are removed from the wash liquor and to some extent bound by the fiber. In addition, the wool is too heavily degreased so that it feels unusually empty after washing.

: 1.11e these: disadvantages "are avoided by the use of i-iscose colloidal solutions of Kurrol's allzalimetaphosphates for acid washing and the known advantages are achieved, which consist in particular in the significantly improved strength properties of the acid-washed wool," -as is very important for the subsequent inechaic processing and use of the wool. An acidic wash liquor to be used in accordance with the invention is prepared by dissolving the water-insoluble alkali metal phosphates in aqueous solutions of any acidic alkali metal or ammonium salts of inorganic or organic nature or acidic salts of organic X-bases, so that solutions with a rmetn pu value below 7 are formed. Of course, a viscous solution that was originally neutral or alkaline but then made slightly acidic, the water-insoluble alkali metal or ammonium nietaphosphate or a corresponding solution of a salt with an organic N-base can be used for washing. example 1 A strong bleeding in alkaline baths the wool fabric becomes cold with a colloid Solution of 1 g water-insoluble potassium e # (Kurrolschetn salt) in 1 1 an aqueous solution of 2.5g / 1 des rapidly cooled melt product of the Zti- sannnensosition 2; .5 °; `a Na = O and; =. 501'ö P_0. washed. This melt product is a sodium polyphosphate, which is produced by zen of 1ionotiatritunpliospliat with an addition set of about 100j "Phosphorpentoxvd or Monoamine phosphate and pouring out the Melt on sheet metal purpose: faster Cooling is produced; cf.G ni e 1 in hand- book of inorganic chemistry, S. edition, Volume sodium. Pg25. .11s wash water normal service water is used ° d. 1-l. The ptl value of the washing solution is 5.5. The ertni (lun "ingeniously applied Potassium metaphosphate outperforms the achieved @@ ascheffelaes and the productive , most of them in the same concentration on, used common detergents. Instead of in the cold can also be particularly successful be washed at elevated temperature, - where the wool fiber is not in the slightest is grasped. Examples Hin artificial silk fabric with sensitive Coloring is done with a colloidal solution from 2.5 gjl insoluble potassium metaphos- phat in a solution of 0.8 g! I acid atritanium pyropliosphate Nag H_P = O; (l ) tt = 5.0) ge «asrhen. The washing solution is moderately by entering moistened Potash phosphate in an acidic propophosphate solution of about o0 ° made. Example 3 «-Olle is in a colloidal solution that 2.5 g1 water-insoluble potassium metaphos phat and T g'l acidic anitnonium ortho- contains phOsphat X "-IIIH, P OI (pH = -1 .9), -e- to wash. The Y @ asch] solution is produced., adding a suspension of insoluble Kaliuninietaphosphat an atninonphosphat- solution in the. oi @: gen mengin circumstances added to a temperature of about 9o0 will.
