An Stelle des acylierten Glycerinesters der Ricinolsäure lassen sich auch andere acylierte Ester der Ricinolsäure, so z. B. der acylierte Äthyl-, Methyl- oder Butylester der Ricinolsäure verwenden. Ebenso können auch duacylierten Ester der polymerisierten Ricinolsäure an Stelle der nichtpolymerisierten Säure treten.
