The invention relates to a support roller assembly for caterpillar vehicles, at
which of the support rollers arranged on each side of the vehicle has two rollers
the ends of resilient and rotatably mounted support beams with respect to their pivot point
are arranged asymmetrically. The invention consists essentially in that the
Asymmetry is made in order to increase the stability of the
Vehicle to reduce that the pivot point of the voi'deren support beam of its front
Support roller and the pivot point of the rear support beam of its rear support roller
closer than the second support roller assigned to each supporting beam. Through this
Arrangement is achieved the advantage that the foremost and rearmost support roller on both
Vehicle sides have to bear the brunt of the vehicle, while those between them
lying support rollers only partially load the vehicle and mainly the chain guide
take over. The stability of the vehicle is further improved by the fact that the support roller bars on each side of the vehicle
are mounted on a common connecting bridge, which in turn at their ends
is attached to the vehicle body via cantilever springs. The spring supports of the caterpillar drive
on the vehicle frame are thereby arranged at the greatest possible distance from one another. The one in relation to
the center of gravity of the vehicle effective arm for the tilting moment or suspension moment
extends beyond the support points of the support roller beams on the connecting bridge.
In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is shown for example. Of the support rollers 3 ,, to 3 rf arranged on each side of the vehicle between the tension roller ι and the drive roller 2, two each are mounted on the ends of the support beams 4 and 5, which in turn are rotatably attached to a common connecting bridge 6 at 4 a and $ a are. These connecting bridges 6 have cantilever springs 7 and 8 clamped at their two ends, which are supported at 9 and 10 on the vehicle frame 11. The rotary bearings 4 a and 5 "of the supporting roller supporting beams 4 and 5 are arranged so that, when beam 4 their distance α to the axis of the rollers 3 'and at the beams 5 its distance a from the axis of the roller 3 ^ is smaller b than the distance ζην axis of the support rollers 3 6 and 2> c-
