Description
Gleiskettenfahrzeug.
Caterpillar. The invention (inventor: Ing. Leo Hladik in Steyr) relates to a caterpillar vehicle, in which of four support rollers arranged on each side of the vehicle, two rollers are arranged asymmetrically on the ends of resilient and rotatably mounted support beams with respect to their pivot point. The invention consists .darin that the asymmetry is such that the point of rotation of the front support beam of its front support roller and the point of rotation of the rear support beam of its rear support roller is closer than the second support roller assigned to each support beam.
This arrangement is intended to achieve the advantage that the foremost and rearmost support rollers on both sides of the vehicle have to carry the main load of the vehicle, while the support rollers between them only take on part of the vehicle's load and mainly take over the chain guide.
The stability of the vehicle can be further improved by the fact that on each side of the vehicle the support roller bars are mounted on a common connecting bridge, which in turn is attached to the vehicle body at its ends via cantilever springs. The Federab support points of the caterpillar drive can thereby be arranged on the vehicle body in the greatest possible distance from each other so that the arm for the tilting moment effective in relation to the center of gravity of the vehicle respectively.
The spring torque extends beyond the support points of the support roller support beams on the connecting bridge.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention. Of the four support rollers 3a to 3d arranged on each side of the vehicle between the tension roller 1 and the drive roller 2, two each are mounted on the ends of the support beams 4 and 5, which in turn are on a common connecting bridge 6 at points 4a and 5a rotatable. are attached.
These connecting bridges 6 have cantilever springs 7 and 8 which are clamped in at their two ends and which are supported at 9 and 10 on the vehicle frame 11. The pivot points 4a and 5a of the support roller support bars 4 and 5 are arranged so that the distance a from the axis of the roller 3a for the bar 4 and their distance a from the axis of the roller 3d for the bar 5 is smaller than the distance b from the axis the support roller 3b respectively. 3c.
