Bei den gegenwärtigen im Handel befindlichen, in Dosen abgefüllten Erfrischungsgetränken ist man, sofern kein Trinkbecher oder -halm zur Verfügung steht, gezwungen, das Getränk z.B. direkt aus der Dose zu trinken. Dabei erleidet der Trinkende durch die Berührung von Mund zu Dose oft Entzündungen an den Lippen auf Grund von Infektionen am bakterienreichen Äußeren der Dose oder er empfindet wenigstens bei dieser etwas unhygienischen Art des Austrinkens ein abstoßendes Gefühl.
