Verfahren zur Polymerisation von Isobutylen Im Patent 704 038 ist gezeigt, daß die Polymerisation von Isobutylen mit Hilfe von Katalysatoren der Friedel-Craftsscäen Reaktion, vorzugsweise Borfluorid, bei Temperaturen unterhalb - io° besonders günstig verläuft, wenn man in Gegenwart geringer Men# gen einwertiger Alkohole arbeitet. Diese Zusatzstoff.6 wirken :als Beschleuniger der Reaktion, da bei ihrer Anwesenheit die Reaktionszeit erheblich verkürzt und die Menge des zur Polymerisation benötigten Katalysators herabgesetzt wird. Gleichzeitig tritt in manchen Fällen eine Steigerung des Molekulargewichtes der erhaltenen Produkte ein.
