Description
Netz-, Schaum- und Disperspergierungsnuttel It has been found that the Sulphanation products of the higher molecular weight aliphatic polyhydric alcohols are advantageous can be used as wetting agents, foaming agents and dispersing agents. The sulfonation products Polyhydric alcohols show the sulfonation products of monohydric alcohols the advantage that they or their alkali, calcium and magnesium salts are even more readily soluble are, which is due to the fact that the polyhydric alcohols have more sulfuric acid residues able to absorb.
As starting materials for the production of the sulfonation products can z. B. serve the alcohols obtained from the esters of higher molecular weight oxyacids Reduction received. This is how you get a dihydric alcohol.
Example n 286 kg octadecanediol-i, 12, which in a known manner by Reduction of i 2-oxystearic acid can be represented with .232 kg of chlorosulfonic acid sulfonated at 3o '. The crude sulfonation product is neutralized immediately with sodium hydroxide solution and separates the inorganic components (sodium sulfate, sodium chloride) away. The product can be obtained in an anhydrous state by evaporation. The present sulfonation products show in addition to their resistance, properties, which are based on the fact that no free or esterified carboxyl group is present, high wetting, foaming, emulsifying and cleaning power as well as the property Textile fibers and related fabrics have a soft, smooth and non-sticky feel granted. They are therefore suitable for a wide range of uses in textile and leather industry, but also suitable in other branches of industry.
They promote all treatments of the textiles with neutral, acidic or alkaline 'treatment fluids the effect by the significantly increased Utilization and penetration of the baths and through the transfer of fats and impurities and the like in aqueous dispersion.
In der Küpenfärberei ermöglicht der Zusatz dieser Produkte die Verküpung in Gegenwart von wenig bzw. schwachem Alkali, was beim Färben mit Küpenfarbstoffen auf tierischen Fasern wichtig ist. In der Naphtholrotfärberei können auf diesem Wege auch tierische Fasern gefärbt werden. Auch die Annetzung von pulverförmigen Farbstoffen und sonstigen Pulvern bei der Überführung in wäßrige Flüssigkeiten, bei der Herstellung von Pasten u. dgl. wird durch Zusatz der oben beschriebenen Stolte erleichtert. In der Spinnerei haben sich ihre wäL;rigen Lösungen bzw. ihre mit weiteren Zusätzen hergestellten Dispersionen als wertvolle ßefeuchtungs.mittel erwiesen. Ebenso wird die Wirkung der Behandlungsflüssigkeiten bei der Lederherstellung und Lederveredelung durch Zusatz der vorliegenden Sulfonierungsprodukte beschleunigt, verstärkt und günstig beeinflußt. In der Papierherstellungs- undVerarbeitungsindustrie, der Pigmentfarbenherstellung und der Pelzfärberei sind die Verbindungen überall da verwendbar, wo es auf Netzwirkung, Dispergierung, Durchdringung und Transport wirksamer Bestandteile ankommt. Diese Eigenschaften ermöglichen auch die Verwendung der Produkte in der Pharmazie als Emulgatoren sowie in der pharmazeutischen Technik als Schaum- und Hautschutzmittel sowie als Bestandteil von Salben oder Cremen. Auf die Eigenschaften der starken Netzung und Durchdringung ist auch ihre Eignung als Mittel zur Schädlingsbekämpfung begründet. Auch als ßeizzusätze und Bohröle in der metallverarbeitenden Industrie sind die: Produkte wertvoll. Als Zusatz zu keramischen Massen kommt ihr Durchdrinbungsvermügen, als Staubbindemittel ihre schnell wirksam werdende Netzung zur Geltung.In vat dyeing, the addition of these products enables vatting in the presence of little or weak alkali, which is important when dyeing animal fibers with vat dyes. In naphthol red dyeing, animal fibers can also be dyed in this way. The wetting of pulverulent dyes and other powders when they are converted into aqueous liquids, when making pastes and the like is also facilitated by adding the above-described stolte. In the spinning mill, their aqueous solutions or their dispersions prepared with other additives have proven to be valuable moisturizers. Likewise, the effect of the treatment liquids in leather production and leather finishing is accelerated, intensified and favorably influenced by adding the sulfonation products present. In the paper production and processing industry, pigment dye production and fur dyeing, the compounds can be used wherever the wetting effect, dispersion, penetration and transport of active ingredients are important. These properties also enable the products to be used in pharmacy as emulsifiers and in pharmaceutical technology as foam and skin protection agents and as a component of ointments or creams. Their suitability as a means of pest control is based on the properties of the strong wetting and penetration. The: products are also valuable as acid additives and drilling oils in the metalworking industry. As an additive to ceramic masses, their penetration ability comes into their own;
