Luffing crane with a cable guide to achieve a horizontal load path
The invention aims to improve the rope guidance on luffing cranes, with the
achieved in a simple way a horizontal load path when retracting the boom
will. It consists in the fact that the end of the load rope, which from the winch to
Boom, from there via rollers back to the frame of the crane and from there in a pulley-like manner
Way is guided to the boom, on a mounted in the trestle and from the boom
rotatable arm, for example on the balance weight lever, is arranged with the
its rotary movement when it is drawn in via the trestle roller and the cantilever roller
given connection line swings out. In this way one achieves that oneself
when retracting the boom, the rope slack is initially increased and then in the
Near the highest boom position again reduced, so that the load path is practical
becomes perfectly horizontal.
In the drawing, an embodiment is shown in two views,
in which with i the trestle, with 2 the boom and with 3 the pivot point of the boom
is designated. Between the boom 2 and the top of the trestle i is still
a link 4. arranged, which engages at 5 on the boom 2 and with the arm 6 of the
about the axis 8 pivotable balance weight lever 7 is connected.
Kreisbogenbewegung in umgekehrter Weise Seil einzieht.
The load rope runs from the hoist drum i o over the top pulley
i i of the trestle frame i to the head roller 12 and then on to the hook roller 13. From there
it is returned to a second head roller 14 and runs over another
next to the roll i i arranged trestle roll 15, from which it goes back to the boom
2 returns, which is provided with a roller 16 at this point. With this

the hook path. In order to reach the load path that is still fully drawn there, the
with the straight load path, except for very insignificant deviations
covers, the end of the load rope 9 after it is wrapped around the cantilever pulley 16
is, on the obliquely downwardly extending arm 1; of the balance weight lever 7
attached. This lever is drawn in dashed lines when pulling in the outrigger
Rotated position in which the arm i 7 is inclined upwards. The attachment point
18 of the load rope 9 executes a movement along an arc of a circle, «-elche
in the first part (i.e. up to the horizontal position of the arm, rope slackens, namely to
Beginning of the movement more than towards the end of the same, and which in the second part of the
Circular arc movement pulls in the rope in the opposite way. These additional rope movements
result, as can be seen from the load paths in Fig. i, in the first part of the boom retraction movement
an extension of the rope running off the roll i 5 and later a reduction
of the released rope lengths, which show the load path shown in dashed lines in
stretch a horizontal line.
