PATENTAMTPATENT OFFICE
The present invention relates to a means of locomotion similar to snowshoes (skis), namely those designed as floating bodies Water running shoes, with. whose help one can walk on the water.
Fig. Ι shows a man who connected each of his feet with a water running shoe and moves with them on the water, much like skiing. Fig. 2 shows two men who are jointly on two long water running shoes move, with the rear of them steering the wheel. Similarly, you can too Appropriate size water running shoes for three or more people will.
Fig. 3). Die letzlere wird mit dem Fufs /durch Riemen oder andereFIG. 3 shows a pair of watercourse shoes AA 1 in outline, FIG. 4 shows the right A of the same in elevation and FIG. 5 in a view from below, while FIG. 6 shows a cross section through both shoes. Each shoe is provided with rotatable flaps BB on the underside and with strips CC, FIGS. 4 and 6, to protect them against damage, also to prevent the water from escaping. The right shoe can also have rotatable flaps D D on the right side and the left on the left side. To facilitate the forward movement of the first shoe, the flaps BB BEZW. -DD rotated backwards from the water, so that it touches the bottom or lay on the side surface or at least lean backwards. On the other hand, the flaps B B respectively are on the second shoe. DD turned outwards and braced against the water, so that the resistance exerted by the same grants the necessary support for the second foot so that the first foot can move its shoe forward through the water. If this movement stops, the flaps BB bezw. DD rotated backwards from the water to allow the second shoe to move forward. In Fig. 3, 4, 5 and 6, the flaps of the right shoe A are rotated outwards and in Fig. 3 and 6 those of the left shoe A 1 are shown rotated backwards. It is assumed that the right shoe A has completed its forward movement and the left shoe A 1 begins this movement. 4 and 5, the bottom flaps BB can be connected to one another by chains or cords Q. and to the lever H by a line R , so that the runner can turn the flaps outward at will by pulling the line by means of the lever H. . Similarly, the side flaps DD can be connected to each other and to the lever H by lines. Each shoe is provided with a tax E. The same is deflected from the center line by the lever F by the hand when pulling on the line G by means of the lever H , if it is to act (see Fig. 3). The levers H can be rotated at the bottom and serve on the one hand as supports for the runner and on the other hand to control the shoes. Finally, every shoe is provided with a base / and a footplate L which can be rotated somewhat in it by means of a pin K. The latter is done with the foot / by straps or others
passende Mittel verbunden. The two shoes AA 1 are connected to one another in two ways so that they cannot move away from one another. The one time is between them, the projections MM by means of a cord attached to the one shoe N A, which embraces a seated at the other shoe A 1 O ring. The cord N can also be replaced by a rod. The other time both shoes are connected at the ends by Robert's triangular links consisting of the parts 5 ST , the straight ends U encompassing the sliding rods V fastened at the points WW by means of rings. The wishbones can be made of iron or wood or the like. The PP buffers are used to reduce any bumps between the shoes. So that the legs are not strained too much, the levers HH are also connected by cords X (indicated by dash-dotted lines in Fig. 3 for clarity) with matching points on the shoes, e.g. B. connected to the upwardly extended shafts of the tax E. Then the hands can also be used to push the shoes forward.
The ends of the line GG can be adjusted higher or lower on the levers HH using suitable clamping pieces in order to deflect the control EE more or less.
The water running shoes are either full or as a hollow body made of suitable materials manufactured.
