Description
Optical device for two-eye viewing of a real optical device Image, in particular the viewfinder or film image in cinematographic cameras The invention is based on an optical device for double-eyed viewing a real optical image, in particular the viewfinder or film image in a cinematographic recording camera, each using an image-reversing prism or Mirror system in the separate observation beam counters assigned to the oaths.
For example with cinematographic cameras for normal film the problem occurs, one designed by a range finder on a ground glass Geiten- and height-twisted larger image via an image-inverting prism or To look at mirror system. In order not to excessively large dimensions of the inverted image Funds to come, it stands to reason, two separate, den. both eyes: assigned Observation rays; corridors each with an image-inverting prism or mirror system to be provided. Here. makes it difficult, however, to use the inversion system in which the clear visual range between the screen and the viewer's eye because the system is correspondingly large for viewing larger images fails.
These difficulties do not apply if. according to the invention the first Image-side deflecting mirror surface of the two reversing systems for both beam paths is arranged together and in the area of their intersection, the angle between the two reflection surfaces that cause the image to be reversed so much larger than 90 ° is that it was caused by the reversal of the image apparent divergence of the central rays of the two ray paths into a corresponding one Convergence is transformed. In the case of using Porro systems second type trained prism erecting systems is in a further embodiment of the Invention of the first image-side prism common to both beam paths Systems with its beam entrance surface inside, with its beam exit surface arranged outside the area of the intersecting beam paths. To the Explanation of the underlying concept of the invention related to the subject matter of the invention reference is made to the schematic diagram according to Fig. i of the drawing.
In the case of two completely separate prism erecting systems, the entrance surface E, E of the first Porro prisms would have to be behind the point of intersection F of the two bundles of rays a, b entering the eyes A, B , i.e. outside the area C of their intersection (shown hatched) approximately in D = Tuesday If, according to the invention, a common entry prism is provided for the two bundles of rays and the exit surface of this prism comes to lie at DD @, then the entry surface G of the entry prism is moved by the optical path length c towards the matt disk image towards HH. The distance d between the focusing screen image J and the eyes A, B of the observer can be reduced by this amount c, so that in this way one can get distance corresponding to the clear visual range on legs, which could not be achieved with the completely separate systems .
A practical embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in Fig. A. ift J again denotes the focusing screen image to be viewed from a rangefinder on a cinematographic recording camera. The optical device for binocular direct viewing of the image consists of two in the manner of Porrosystemen second type formed prism reversal system K, I_, M or I @, L ',? 1T, which in accordance with Fig. I both in the eyes A, B of Are assigned to the viewer arriving beam bundles. The first image-side prism I (is common to both prism systems L, M and L ', M'. Its beam entrance surface G is here in the beam path inside, its beam exit surface N outside the area of the intersecting beam paths (Fig. I, G, DD @ The inversion systems differ from the usual Porro systems of the second type, in which three c) o ° prisms are used, in that the angle α between the reflection surfaces of the second prisms L, L 'is greater than 90' the end. for the following reason: The image reversal causes a relatively strong apparent divergence of the central rays e, f (Fig. i). Seeds seem to the observer to come from the direction e ', f' instead of from the direction e, f. In order to convert this divergence into a corresponding convergence, the angle α is the. second prisms L and L ' larger than 90''selected, namely by about?,' h of that angle ß, which the two central rays of the bundles of rays a., b enclose with each other.
To achieve an inclined view from above or below in the viewing device can, according to the invention, the third prisms M, M ', as shown in Fig. 3, for example, for the right prism system in which Be designed so that the angle;, between its beam entrance surface O and the associated reflection surface P is larger or smaller than 45 '. Be it pointed out that the invention even when it comes to viewing smaller pictures are concerned, so where the questions related to the clear visual range not because of the inversion systems, which are relatively small in this case play so much a role or where no direct observation, but for example Eyepieces are provided, which is advantageous because the overall length is always shortened of the viewing system is given.
