In der oberen Hälfte des Flaggenknopfes ist ein Metallrad / ■ zwischen den im Knopf angegossenen Lagern m mittelst der Achse η angebracht. Ueber das Rad I läuft die Flaggenleine 0 (Drahtseil, Kette etc.), deren oberes Ende zum Flaggenknopf f hinausreicht und dort mit einem aufsen hängenden Eisenstabe ρ verknüpft ist, während das andere Ende in den hohlen Flaggenbaum hinunterfällt und im unteren Stammende von einem Rad abgewickelt wird oder durch eine Seitenöffnung daselbst hinausreicht.
