n:ebeneinander statt übereinander anzuordnen; hierbei waren jedoch besondere Pumpen
Multi-chamber evaporator moving during operation for vacuum, in particular
Steam jet cooling systems In the well-known multi-stage multi-chamber evaporators
of steam chillers, in which the liquid to be cooled is in the form of a veil
falls in free fall from one chamber to the next, are the evaporation chambers
arranged one above the other. These machines therefore have a considerable overall height
and, are not suitable for installation in low-ceilinged rooms, such as
those of ships. It has therefore already been proposed to use the evaporator chambers
n: to be arranged level with each other instead of one above the other; however, these were special pumps
required to lift the liquid to be cooled from one chamber to the next.
The invention has the task of creating a multi-chamber evaporator
to create with adjacent chambers for ships or other vehicles,
Which pumps, injectors or the like for lifting the liquid are saved
and the liquid only. through a free slope from one chamber to the other
got. The transfer of the liquid from one chamber to the next therefore takes place
through overflows designed as standpipes from different ones in the successive ones
Crest = falling height. The height of the standpipes is the different evaporation pressures: n
adapted in the individual chambers. The standpipes have a relatively large one
Cross-section. The chambers in which the liquid is, however, have a proportionate
small size. The free surface of the liquid is therefore only small. If the
If the mirror surface were large, there would be the possibility that with strong fluctuations
of
Ships the overflow of the liquid is gush-like and irregular and
the evenness of the liquid curtain is disturbed. The standpipes can
in order to avoid large contiguous water areas, also a narrow one
obtained annular cross-section.
In a known steam chiller in which the evaporator chambers
lie next to each other at the same height, the transfer of the liquid takes place
from chamber to chamber also through L b. These overflows also serve to

However, the machine is for single-stage and not for multi-stage evaporation
bestiuunt. So there is the same pressure in all chambers, and the overflows
therefore all have the same height. In the description of the known machine
there is no indication of how the vaporizer is used in a multi-stage
Evaporation is to be trained.
also in allen Kammern auf gleicher Höhe stehen.
With a similarly working machine for crystallizing
The evaporation chambers are also located next to each other for salts from solutions. The alachine
is also set up for gradual evaporation. So it also rules in the
Chambers a correspondingly graduated pressure. After all, there are overflows there too
Provided between the individual chambers, which form a liquid seal.
The overflows there are all at the same level. The liquid should
So stand in all chambers at the same level. This is to achieve that
the capacity of the individual chambers is as large as possible, so that the time
the stay of the saline solution in the chambers and thus the crystal grain is enlarged.
In contrast, the opposite is to be achieved with the subject matter of the invention. Big fillings
and large free liquid surfaces in the chambers should, as stated above,
Avoid spilling the liquid into the overflows whenever possible
to prevent.
Erfindung mit drei Kammern a, b, c dar. Die Standrohre haben die Bezeichnung
a, b, c immer gegeben ist.
The drawing now shows an evaporator in the sense of the present invention with three chambers a, b, c. The standpipes have the designation d, e, f. The liquid levels g, ä1, @ = are partly due to the height of the standpipes , f given and the liquid levels ht, h., h3 in the standpipes adjust accordingly. The liquid levels ltl, lt_ must also be at the, 'j; r. Wten pressure difference between the Kama, b, c across the overflow pipe eti i, il: 'see, whereby the closure between the @. # Inzeltien chambers a, b, c is always given. If all chambers a, b, e evaporate and thereby cool, the pressure difference between these chambers is only small and corresponds to the step-by-step cooling. The greatest pressure difference between a, b, c is present when a chamber is switched off and there is condenser pressure in this chamber. If the vapor compressor for a parked chamber as a result reduce the cooling requirement, then, since between Brüde nverdichter and chamber cc _ no is bsperrorgan A, carried out a pressure compensation. The pressure in chamber a is therefore equal to the condenser pressure and thus greater than in chamber b. As a result, the water level / t1 sinks, but the connection i between chambers a and b is still full, so that the seal between a and b still exists. Otherwise the condenser pressure would also penetrate into chamber b and thereby stop evaporation in b. The flow of the coolant from h via g and! T, through i to ä1 is not hindered. In the case of continuous operation with the two stages b and c, the entry of the coolant can also take place at hl, bypassing chamber a. If the refrigeration requirement continues to decrease, chamber b is also put out of operation in addition to chamber a-.
