Lower bearing with diving bell for water-filled electrical machines with a standing shaft, especially for submersible motors for water-filled electrical machines. with a stationary shaft, the lower bearing, which absorbs the axial pressure of the rotor, causes great difficulties. It has already been proposed to design this camp like a bell, in such a way that the bell which forms the outer bearing part forms the lower end of the rotor shaft and that a fixed bearing pin protrudes into the bell from below. In this way, the lubricant supply of the lower bearing can be maintained for a longer period of time. Nevertheless, if the seal is inadequate, the dreaded washing out of the bearing lubricant can occur. According to another known proposal, the lower bearing of working machines is designed as a diving bell. For slow moving waves, this solution as such may lead to the goal. In the case of the mostly very slim and long water-filled submersible motors, on the other hand, which regularly work at high speed, for example at 3,000 revolutions per minute, there is a risk that the air supply of the diving bell disappears quickly and the liquid can penetrate into the camp. This danger is also present if the bearing body is completely coated with lubricant, because here, due to the movement of the bearings, especially in the case of roller bearings, the lubricant bordering the liquid is mixed with it and finally more and more displaced from the bearing body by the liquid. For submersible pump motors that are used for pumping drinking water, pumping water for dye works, etc., but must
filled electric machine with standing wave of a diving bell use. According to the invention, however, the diving bell or the bearing part opposite it is provided with a transverse wall which prevents the air supply of the bell from escaping even when the machine is running quickly inside. It is best to divide the interior of the bell into individual chambers by means of several fixed transverse walls, which extend up to the immediate vicinity of the inner circumference of the bell. These transverse walls are immersed in the liquid cylinder forming on the inner circumference of the rotating bell and thus prevent them from penetrating. Escape of the air supply. At the same time, however, they have a calming effect on the liquid, as their surface strongly dampens the movement of the liquid. This calming effect can be increased by dividing the interior of the bell approximately in a lamellar manner by means of numerous transverse walls, if there is no risk that these lamellar spaces will be clogged by liquid excretions in the course of time. For the same reason, the interior of the bell can also be subdivided by capillary action by arranging screens, fabrics, fibers, wires, etc. in a fixed manner in the bell. In the limiting case it can be achieved that the liquid does not take part in the rotary movement of the bell at all and the liquid level assumes the same position when the machine is running as when the machine is at a standstill. So that the lower edge of the bell cannot suck up the liquid and air filling from the inside of the bell like a pump, it is made as narrow as possible in its radial direction, for example by means of a conical taper.
