Description
Method for preparing threads of yarn for the purpose of mercerising The subject of the present invention is a special type, the so-called. Fitzing to carry out strands of yarn, especially cotton, but also other fiber material, where it matters, structural changes in a subsequent treatment with chemicals to trigger at the fibers of the strand, the invention is essentially intended for the Purposes of carrying out the mereerization come into use.
also besonders stark- beim Anfärben der Strähne zutage.
When a so - comes gefitzter Strähn when Merc% risieren under the influence of the stretching, the effect on shrinkage as a result of sodium hydroxide treatment, it follows that the very loosely lying yarn paths of the initial and Endfadens are not subjected to this extension so with.
The consequence of this is that these thread sections lying very loosely can shrink completely unhindered under the action of the sodium hydroxide solution. That are then the thread sections that have to be much darker because-theirs The thread structure is different from the other threads. These different types of thread sections naturally make themselves more uncomfortable when processing to any work piece Wise noticeable, especially with single-colored lengths of fabric.
You can counteract this deficiency from the outset by simply tearing off parts of the beginning and end thread cord. With many strands, this results in a not inconsiderable loss of yarn. Although now this Garnausfall is still acceptable under certain circumstances, one is but on the other side of the Aufmerksarnkeit the working staff when winding the strand or 'when winding down far too much haspeln dependent. Experience has shown that it then happens very often that it is neglected to tear off the corresponding pieces of thread, or it happens that too little is torn off. Then, of course, unwanted stripes etc. appear in the fabric or Gi # -work.
In order to counteract the occurrence of such deficiencies once and for all, according to the invention, the procedure is that the knotting of the beginning with the tail piece of the strand is done so that these two pieces of thread in the circumference corresponding to the strand, the same pulling effect when mereerising as otherwise Part of the strand length conditional on the outside of the strand lie, wherein they can be integrated through the Fitz - # - '.
#J,- enn ein so vorbereiteter Strähn nunmehr er erforderlichen Zugwirkung unterworfen wird, dann werden in betriebssicherer Weise auch der Anfang und das Ende des Strähnfadens in diese Zugwirkung gleichbleibend mit #einbezogen, und #es kann dann nicht mehr vorkommen, daß diese Fadenabschnitte unerwünschterweise schrumpfen.# Y, - if a strand prepared in this way now has the required pulling effect is subjected, then the beginning and the The end of the strand thread is consistently included in this pulling action with #, and #es can then no longer happen that these thread sections shrink undesirably.
Now it is already known when making strands that To knot the beginning thread with the end thread of the strand so that these two pieces of thread also do not hang down from the strand. But there you are chasing you completely different purpose. Above all, the strand is not prepared in this way, to carry out a subsequent mercerization, rather it is a matter of to prepare a strand for the purpose of decoiling in a form that one can use the Finds the beginning or end thread very easily. For this purpose, at the beginning and the end thread a colored thread is tied, especially around the Fitz thread is wrapped around. So here the beginning and end threads are not immediate # connected to each other, but between the two pieces of thread is a different color Piece of thread knotted in to better manage the search for the beginning or end of the strand to be able to. As I said, a completely different purpose is pursued from the outset, and for the attainment of this sole purpose it makes no difference whether that Linking the threads with each other is carried out in such a way that the knotted together End threads correspond in their extension to the circumference of the strand. It will be more expedient it may even be to measure the lengths so that the ends tied together slightly depend on the strand, for the very simple reason, because the purpose pursued there, Finding the thread ends can be achieved even better.
To prepare a strand for mercerizing purposes in such a way that that you knot a different colored thread between the beginning and the end of the strand, would be absurd and pointless. On the contrary, it could disadvantageously even happen that the end of the other color also gets onto the bobbin and is processed with it. Self but if you would not use a thread of a different color as an intermediate knitting thread, so it could happen that the knotted end of the thread gets onto the bobbin, because based on experience it leaves the operating staff unwinding the end of the streak always lacks the necessary care.
For all of these reasons, it would be pointless to be at the preparation of the strand for the Vornajime des Mercerisierens another special one Connecting thread.would knot between the beginning and end of the strand thread.-In the invention is illustrated by way of example in the drawing.
Der Strähn a selbst, der wesentlich ver-' kürzt dargestellt ist, zeigt den Anfang d und das Ende, a" in stärker ausgezogenen Strichen, um das, was erfindungsgemäß erzielt werden soll, besser kenntlich zu machen. Der Fitzfaden ist mit b bezeichnet. The strand a itself, which is shown substantially shortened, shows the beginning d and the end "a" in stronger lines in order to better identify what is to be achieved according to the invention. The thread is denoted by b .
The beginning and the end of the strand thread do not necessarily have to begin with the Fitzfaden be connected. The connection with the Fitzfaden is only made for reasons of expediency. It is in itself irrelevant how the thread is tied into the strand itself or is braided,
