schmalen Streifen oder -Bändern zum Umwickeln von Rohren hat sich der Nachteil gezeigt;
Insulating body It has already been proposed to make insulating bodies made of fiberglass
to produce, which consisted of glass filaments layered as parallel as possible,
those on their surface with a yielding. Adhesive were provided, wherein
the individual layers could be moved against each other. In the production of
narrow strips or tapes for wrapping pipes has shown the disadvantage;
that they did not have sufficient tensile strength. This disadvantage does not apply either
eliminate by that. the individual Glasgespinstschchten with their thread direction
be placed in the longitudinal direction of the tape, so that the tensile stress of these
Threads is picked up. Such ribbons made of longitudinally directed glass fibers also result
strong wrinkles on the inside of the curve and. can therefore not
Wrap around pipes without creases.
Textilfasern oder anorganischem Textilgut, z. B. Asbestgewebe, Glasgespinstgeweb@e;

In contrast, the present invention relates to an insulating body made of several layered glass! Tensile strength is equipped. The insulating tapes according to the present invention consist in a manner known per se from numerous superposed, preferably mutually displaceable, fine fiberglass veils or layers, whereby the two surfaces can optionally be treated with a flexible, non-fragile adhesive so that the fiberglass fibers in the upper surface this layer are bound and result in a cloth-like envelope. Inside this glass fiber body: according to the present invention, traction means are embedded, e.g. B. webs or veils or ribbons of fiberglass made of longitudinally directed and glued together glass fibers. Instead of the tape-like, tensile layers of impregnated glass, layers of paper, asbestos paper, textile fabrics made of organic textile fibers or inorganic textile goods, e.g. asbestos fabric, glass fiber fabric, yarns or metal wires, metal braids, metal foils, can also be used several such inserts can be provided, the number of individual layers and their dimensions depending on the respective use, purpose. `Also in the long time &

Core threads made of metal, fiberglass yarn, preferably made of staple fiber-like fiberglass, or mixed yarns or mixed fabrics made of mixtures of fiberglass fibers and fibers from other textile goods can be used. Expediently, fiberglass fibers are used for the yarns, fabrics or the like; that are of irregular thickness and / or shape, that have an irregular cross-section, that are twisted, curved, corrugated or curled.
