Description

Lighting device for photographic reproduction machines The invention relates to a lighting device for photographic reproduction machines, especially for photographic enlargers, including an ultraviolet one Light source emitting rays. According to the invention, the device is made in such a way that that the ultraviolet rays that would otherwise pass through the front of the photosensitive Layer lying means (e.g. glass plates, condenser) are absorbed by a beam converter, as it is from a translucent, in a known manner Addition of metal salts, such as zinc sulphite, equipment capable of radiation conversion can be formed in rays penetrating up to the layer to be exposed being transformed. The conversion of ultraviolet rays into rays of the visible Spectrum is known per se. She has z. B. already a practical application in optics found to increase the richness of contrast when viewing X-ray films. The useful application that the radiation conversion finds in the invention is available photochemical field and is used to generate images in the manufacture of Copies, especially by means of enlargers, are cheaper and more advantageous design. By using a beam converter with these devices it is achieved that those contained in the beam emitted by the light source, otherwise by the devices in the beam path of these devices, such as negative carriers, Glass plates, condenser, lens, absorbed ultraviolet rays for imaging can also be used. This makes it possible to use the same amount of energy for the light source to shorten the exposure time or with the same exposure time to reduce the energy consumption of the light source. Reduction of the required exposure time or reducing the energy requirement of the light source contribute to the disadvantageous Effect of the heat rays emanating from the light source on those to be transilluminated Reduce originals (films). Light source and template can therefore without this Suffers damage, are moved closer together in enlargers than before, which in turn makes the use of the light emitted by the light source more favorable will. It has also been shown that the copies produced with radiation conversion the contrasts present in the positive or negative archetype appear more effectively let occur than this when using the same light source without using it a radiation converter was the case. The beam converter can also advantageously be designed as a light distribution disc at the same time. The effect of radiation conversion can be increased by installing reflectors in the luminaire room, whose that which strikes them Light reflecting surface is formed from a mass interspersed with the same metal salts.
