Description

Verfahren zur Durchführung der Extraktion von Kohlen aller Art-Bei der Gewinnung von Extrakten 'aus Kohlen aller Art, wie Steinkohle, Braunkohle, Torf usw., hat sich die Verwendung von Tetrahydronaphthalin im Gemisch mit sauren Ölen, wie Phenolen, Kresolen, Urteerphenolen usw., als besonders wirkungsvoll erwiesen. Die Höchstausbeuten an Extrakt aus Kohlen werden mit den genannten Lösungsmitteln bei Temperaturen gewonnen, welche im allgemeinen zwischen 30o bis q.50° liegen. Bei der extraktiven Behandlung der Kohlen in dem genannten Temperaturbereich nimmt die Kohlensubstanz aus dem . Tetrahydronaphthalin geringe Mengen Wasserstoff auf unter gleichzeitiger Dehydrierung eines Teiles des Tetrahydronaphthalins zu Naphthalin. Um. die Lösungsmittel nicht verloren geben zu müssen, sondern ständig im Kreislauf halten zu können, ist es erforderlich, laufend das naphtha-. linhaltige Lösungsmittel wieder zu hydrieren. Diese Regenerierung des Tetrahydronaphthalins wird aber im Rahmen der genannten Kohleextraktionsprozesse dadurch erschwert, daß in den Lösungsmitteln gleichzeitig Phenole anwesend sind, welche bei der Hydrierung der Lösungsmittel zu Kohlenwasserstoffen reduziert werden und für den Extraktionsprozeß verlorengehen: Eine Entfernung und Isolierung der Kresole auf dem Wege einer Entphenolung der Lösungsmittel stellt jedoch eine erhebliche Verteuerung der gesamten Kohleextraktion dar. Gemäß der vorliegenden Erfindung werden diese Schwierigkeiten dadurch. überwunden, daß die Lösungsmittel, welche nach, erfolgter Extraktion aus den von Asche und ungelöster Restkohle befreiten reinen Extraktlösungen abgetrieben sind, auf Raumtemperatur oder unter Anwendung künstlicher Kälte auf noch tiefere Temperaturen von o° und darunter gekühlt werden und hierdurch das Naphthalin abgeschieden wird, worauf das in geeigneter Weise z.
