Description
Verfahren zur thermischen Gewinnung von Calcium, Strontium und Barium durch Reduktion von erdalkalimetalloxydhaltigen Rohstoffen mit Hilfe von Silicium und Aluminium oder beiden Gegenstand des Patents 666 353 ist ein Verfahren zur Gewinnung von Magnesium durch Reduktion von magnesiahaltigen Rohstoffen mit Hilfe von Silicium, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man dem Reaktionsgemisch Alkali-oder Erdalkalifluoride in Mengen zwischen etwa 0,5 und 501" vorzugsweise :2%, zusetzt. Durch den Fluoridzusatz wird eine erhebliche Beschleunigung der Reaktionsgeschwindigkeit erreicht. ` Es wurde nun gefunden, daß eine solche reaktionsbeschleunigende Wirkung auch bei der Gewinnung der Erdalkalimetalle Calcium, Strontium und Barium aus erdalkalioxydhaltigen Rohstoffen mit Hilfe von Silicium und Aluminium oder beiden durch Zusatz von Alkali- und Erdalkalifluoriden erreicht wird.
