Die Erfindung betrifft ein Kettenschloß, insbesondere für Viehketten, und bezweckt, sowohl ein schnelles und müheloses Schließen des Schlosses als auch ein ebenso schnelles und müheloses Öffnen desselben zu ermöglichen, ohne daß hierzu Widerlager oder sonstige Hilfsvorrichtungen erforderlich sind. Man hat bereits versucht, Kettenschlösäer für Viehketten so auszubilden, daß sie auch bei gespannter Kette leicht lösbar sind, wenn bei Bränden oder anderen Gefahren das Vieh schnell von der Kette befreit werden soll.
